Filter report in email. Limited fields to select from

Hi there,

I want to send out a weekly report to the customer success leaders with only showing their data based on either Team or Territory from them. The report itself works fine in a dashboard and you can filter there, but in the email template I was not able to find a way to filter the same, as no Team or Territory is available as filter criteria. Please remark that Team or Territory is stored in Gainsight and not in Salesforce.

Hi @swen. You have hit a limitation where you can’t necessarily bring in fields into emails via lookups. What I have found that works better is to pull the data into your Person records. It’s not a great solution as it makes things a bit more tedious but you can use a rule to pull the Company data onto the Company Person record. That way you will be able to properly filter for it in the email.
