Right now the default activity type in the calender widget is “Meeting”. Choosing another Type removes the Company entry right now.

Very same frustration, except ours is defaulting to “Milestone” which is worthless in our context. Would love the ability to choose which item to set as default for this integration.
This has been reported by several of our CSMs as well and is very frustrating - they almost always need to change the type from the default to another type, and this then clears the Company name.
Agree with the suggestion, it would be best for Admins to be able to choose the default activity type from the Calendar widget. In our case, we have a type called “External Meeting” which all CSMs would choose for logging these types of calls from the Calendars. However, since we can’t default to the value, it defaults to “Meeting” and when the CSM changes it, it clears out the Company name and they need to search again.
We have some cases where the External Attendees are duplicated in the dialog when the company is searched again after cleared, and then Gainsight throws a “DB Exception Occurred” error when the CSM tries to save.
Please fix this! Our CSMs always need to change from Meeting (which we use for in person meetings only) to Call and re-add the Company. All these manual updates take away from the wonderful efficiencies gained.
