More User Friendly Filters

When picking a field to use on the Filters, a confusing, expandable list appears today. This list is too complex for our Users and they are no longer able to add Filters themselves. The same goes for anywhere else this experience is used such as adding a Cockpit Column.

Examples of Challenges:

  • Way too many fields with the same names. When they search “Owner”, like 9 different options appear. 
  • The data model is not clear.  The average GS Users do not understand how the data flows between objects. They do not understand the Owner under the Account is not the same as the CTA Owner. 

Solution Suggestion

Add a checkbox to the fields in Data Management to make them hidden for items like Filters or Columns. The Admins can then cut down the data that is visible to the Users and avoid this confusion.
