Email Assist Survey Send (Relationship Level)

Looking for confirmation, and if the confirmation is correct, I feel like this is a product issue that we need to somehow prevent.





I've seen in a couple customer that send surveys via email assist from the relationship level. The system allows you to do this, and also allows you to type in any email address just like a normal assist would. However, if that recipient is not a relationship contact in SFDC, that survey response doesn't link to the relationship. The response gets stored, and from what I can see, the relationship ID does get stored on the response, however, these responses don't show in the R360. Can we somehow confirm and then potentially change this behavior? I feel we should either resolve the linking and show in the R360 or prevent these kind of sends to non-contacts.
