Gainsight licenses unchecked in SF installed package managed license page are still active, it would be nice if their license was available
CS Rules & Permissions
Gainsight licenses unchecked in SF installed package managed license section are still counted as an active license . It would be great if there was a help description indicating that on the page.

Managing licenses for an SF installed package is pure SFDC feature and I am not aware of options an ISV like us would have over customizing it. Our control is limited to managing license count, status and expiry date of a license. We treat all allowed licenses as active licenses.
We will improve our documentation related to assigning Gainsight licenses to SF users and also look at ways to show more relevant information within Gainsight.
Any specific reason why would be interested in this? One reason I am thinking is for you to better understand how many of the licenses you have purchased are left unassigned.
Thanks,
Sidhu
