Force-filter a Dashboard through the URL?

I was wondering if it’s possible to force a filter via the URL?

I have a use case where multiple Teams need to view a single Dashboard with their Team context - right now we have a Global Filter by Team Leader (the User’s manager) so can be manually done by the User, but I’d rather be able to send a direct link to the Dashboard with the correct attribute=value type of variable - is this possible?

Hello @DrWarmth, thank you for posting on Community. Passing this along to our Product Manager to be looked into and circle back to you with an answer.

I’m like 99% sure this isn’t possible. @rakesh can you confirm?

As Dan mentioned, this is not possible.

We did something similar for a Dashboard where there’s a global filter for CSM Manager (CSM → Manager → Name) for widgets that have timeline or CTAs.

It all depends on the dashboard’s content for this to work throughout the dashboard though. Some data, it’s (owner → Manager → Name).

Would a global filter option of “Current/Other User Manager” get you the results you’re looking for rather than a URL component?
