Question

Can Milestones sync with Salesforce?

We currently create CTAs to track customer visits and important customer calls. We then sync these with Salesforce so they appear within Activity History. We would like to use Milestones to track visits and calls, but I have not been able to find whether there is a way to sync Milestones with Salesforce other than creating a CTA from the Milestone, and then syncing, which is not convenient for our users. Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi Steve, there's no OOB mechanism for this but you could likely achieve this with a rule that reads the Milestone object and uses a 'Load to SFDC' action to write into the SFDC Task Object.
Is there an update on whether you can sync a milestone with Salesforce activities or tasks?

Building a rule to create Salesforce tasks is still the way to go. We are working on bringing Milestones into the Timeline/Activities fold, and would most likely have an OOB solution then. Would love to better understand what types of Milestones you still create, given that important visits and calls (per the original post) can be much more robustly captured through the Timeline (and synched to Salesforce). Or is the switch difficult because only Milestones can be overlaid on a graph?

Thanks!
