Alert/Notification to the Program owner when the Email Template is modified for an associated Program.

Hi All,

So we're aware of 'Republish' option which is used when any modification to email template used in Program is modified and you want to re-save the changes in that Active Program for the subsequent participant added to the Program journey.

But this ''Republish' option" appears as soon as the Program is published whether the Email template is changed or not. So let's suppose

  • - the user has published the Program which is using a Email Template says - 'X'.

  • -And then some other user just goes to that email template and add a token, hit save.

  • - Now, the new participant in a Program will fail due to error : 'Token Mapping'. To resolve this user has to 'Republish'. But here comes the problem and idea-

Problem:

So the user who has published the Program, need to check the Program REGULARLY. And if he is not checking the Program regularly, he will not know that I need to republish the email.

Idea:

Can we have some alert or notification pop-up when some other user modifies the Email template, saying, "this email template is used in the particular program please 'Republish' that".

Or, trigger a email notification to the Program owner that the "X Email template associated to your Program has been modified, Please 'Republish' to avoid the Partcipant failure".

Thanks

~Shiv

This is an excellent idea as we too have different people creating and editing email templates vs creating and managing programs.

Awesome shiv, that was keen explanation of the use case.

Hi @shiv_kumar_katiyar

Do you know if this republish option sends the email right away ?

We have set our program to send out reminder twice. One has already went and the other one will go out next week.

We are planning to update the email template for the second reminder email to be out next week. If we make the changes in the email template now, and hit republish now, will it send another email the same day to the same users? Or will it just update the email template in the active program and send out the updated template the next time, when its supposed to be.

+1.

Actually, we are getting a Popup saying “templte was used in a few Programs or Outreaches…..”

Screenshot:

but we are not knowing that we need to “Republish” those Programs where that template was used.

So if we have a option like “trigger a email notification to the Program owner that the "X Email template associated to your Program has been modified, Please 'Republish' to avoid the Partcipant failure". that helps a lot to avoid the issues.

Thanks.
