Is there a template for the Exclusion List to exclude contacts from a Program out of the Journey Orchestrator?

Hi all,



Is there a template out there with what needs to be included for an Exclusion List to exclude contacts from a Program out of the Journey Orchestrator? Is it just a CSV with a list of email addresses? I could not find any documentation on this.

Hi Joe, sorry to hear that you were not able to find that without putting in efforts. About the exclusion CSV, yes as you mentioned; for the most part you just need a list of email addresses in a csv file and the header/label of the exclusion email addresses column in the csv file can be selected as the exclusion criteria after the csv upload on the program criteria configuration page. Hope this answers your query.

NOTE : Some extra information regarding the same is that selecting the correct header/label for exclusion from the csv is an expectation from the person configuring it as there is no way to validate the data brought in via csv.

Here's a little more insight:



- You need to include the information that make up your uniqueness criteria - most of the time, that's just the email address but if it is not, include columns for the other fields as well.



- Beware of spaces! Unexpected trailing spaces can be your nightmare! Ensure your labels don't have any, nor the email addresses that you are feeding.
