Global filters sticking when changed from dashboard

Currently when you change the filters on a dashboard and try to email it out they are not sticky.  We are trying to email this dashboard to a director who has multiple managers and it would be nice to be able to make these changes from the dashboard.  Currently the workaround suggested is that we clone the dashboard and make the changes in dashboard builder.  This is not ideal for the use case because if you have multiple directors with multiple managers underneath them you are cloning a large number of dashboards.  It would be easier to be able to make these changes and have them stick. 
This would be immensely helpful. We are looking to email partners with a dashboard of their renewals and orders with us. However, I don’t want to make a separate dashboard for each partner. A filter like this would be mega helpful!
Is what you are looking for is a variable filter so you can share in a 1:Many way correct?
Bingo. I would love to have an outreach setup that automatically sends reports to our partners, but adds a filter at the time of send for that specific partner. This would save a person from having to manually share these and add filters on the necessary time interval.

Currently it is not possible in outreaches to send dashboards. But the use case you intend to achieve can be done using the current adhoc dashboard share as well except for the scheduling part.





Create one dashboard with global filter where you have logged in user configured. Share the dashboard with john


john@partner1.com and jane@partner2.com





The same dashboard will be filtered to John (Partner 1) and Jane (Partner 2) in the links respectively they are trying to access. You need not create separate view for each partner.
