We’re finding ourselves trying to override the default CSS with every template. It would be ideal for us to be able, from an administrative or development right, to set the default CSS for guides classified custom templates so that they at a match our design system without any additional editing when creating a new template.

Hi Ryan,
Have you tried saving templates for each Engagement Type?
For eg: Select you Engagement Type > Select your preferred pre-built PX Template > Update the CSS Styling to match your branding/company style> “Save as Template” > Do these for all comonly used engagement types (Dialogs/ Sliders/ Guides/ etc)
So, next time when user wants to create a new in-product guide, they can pick the template from the ‘saved’ templates without having to re-do the CSS Styling every time.
Here’s an article as well - https://support.gainsight.com/PX/Engagements/02Engagement_Configuration/Use_Templates
