Allow reporting on low volume object MDA data logs

Related products: None

Now that we have the ability to view audit logs on fields that exist on low-volume objects, we should be able to report on them too. This ability would really make this feature a must-have and would help curb the need to create entirely new snapshot MDA objects from scratch, which require quite a bit of Admin effort and knowledge to create and maintain.

My use case is that a customer on our NXT edition needs to be able to track a field on the relationship object and trigger a program once a relationship changes its status from Field A to Field B. With SFDC’s field tracking ability, we could do this pretty easily. In Gainsight, it’s not possible at all using our audit logs.

Note: this is a little different request from @marcelo’s post regarding an audit trail, although I think the two ideas could be merged.

Hi @spencer_engel

Would this request be similar to the Historical tracking functionality we have in Salesforce?

This is in our long term roadmap. Were the changes in values are tracked and can be reported on. We have not worked on the release dates yet.

Thank you

Preethi

@pgeorge Yes, very similar to historical tracking in SFDC. Thanks.

Hi @spencer_engel

We have added this in our mid term roadmap. We are currently working on the GDM Revamp, post which we will look into field tracking.

Thank you
