I just noticed this and not sure if this has always been this way.
Created by and Modified by field are not look up fields? why? If wanted to grab data for the user profile like email or name or manager’s name it become impossible. We had to create a duplicate field and run a rule to input into a custom field so that we can have a look up.
Can this be a permanent change to the system fields to look up to user object for all create by and modified by?

Per some additional research I do see that custom object have “GS created by” field which are system fields that have look up values
So why do standard’s object not have this?
