Show Totals when "Show Data Points" Is enabled on Pie Charts and others

Related products: CS Reports & Dashboards

In Salesforce, reports often show both the total sums of each slice in a pie chart as well as the Total Sum of the entire pie chart. Here's an example of one report shown in each:

Salesforce:

Gainsight:

Notice how, even with "Show Data Points" on in Gainsight, we still aren't able to show total number of customers in this report. Our managers and CSMs would really like this feature in order to easily be able to see the totals on reports without having to do the math manually.

Also, just a side note -- the format of the sum and percentage looks a lot cleaner in Salesforce. Might be worth experimenting with the 97: 40%  format instead of 97(40.59%).

Please let us know if either of these fixes would be possible in the near future.

Thanks!
Agree.  This idea was posted previously:  https://community.gainsight.com/gainsight/topics/reports-2-0-should-have-the-ability-to-show-aggrega...
John,

Thanks for the detailed note. Yes, as i mentioned in the other thread that Jeff posted, we do have plans to support totals in the near future. Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot of how the totals are displayed in column and stacked column chart?

Thanks!
I am not able to display a total on a column/stacked column chart in SFDC.  I appear to only be able to show totals when it's a donut chart (John's first example above).

Gainsight would best SFDC charts in this area if you could find a way to include total no matter what type of chart/graph is displayed.  Could include the TOTAL down by the legend, i.e. https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1280175/RackMultipart20150921-4253-jkmxiz-cases.png?...
FWIW these are usually called "donut" charts as opposed to pie charts. I like using them over pie charts for the total in the middle as well, and would love to see it join the lineup.
