New Timeline - keyboard tab shortcuts not working

Since the new timeline launched, we’ve gotten a few complaints from CSMs around not being able to tab from field to field. Specificially, if they tab to one of the lookup fields (Customer, Relationship or Contact fields), they have to then click regardless in order for the selections to populate. Is there a way to make this easier to navigate with keyboard shortcuts? Anyone else’s team experiencing this? Our users primarily use Chrome.
