I am searching for anyone out there that has a nice and clean solution for managing multiple user departments within Gainsight.

Example is we have Support, Partner Managers etc…

Issue: When going to add activities we are trying to manage the activity types but there is no way to hide types from specific departments such as if I am a Partner and adding an activity I do not want to see the activity types that Support may have.

@jberberichpaycor the way we’ve gotten around it today is to just append the beginning of the activity with the name of the group.  Example: Partner Meeting, Support Follow Up.  That way that particular group can search for their name to show just their activity types.  I feel like I’ve seen an idea post with the suggestion to be able to set permissions based on groups for Timeline activities, but in a quick search, I couldn’t find it.

You’ve got others with this same question / idea (at least with respect to Activity Timeline).
