It would be nice to have more control, either through allowing different shapes for the clickable area or using a CSS selector to identify the clickable area. Based on the current badge options, we have to use an image, either Gainsight’s icons or an uploaded one, and the clickable area is always round. I would like to trigger engagements via a badge from:An icon that’s added in our code, rather than Gainsight’s icons. Icon added in our code A text link that’s added in our code.| Text link For #1, my workaround is to upload a transparent image that I can position over our icon.Uploaded transparent image (border added to assist in positioning)For #2, I tried a workaround that Gainsight support suggested. I mapped the text link as a feature and then used that in the audience logic to trigger the guide automatically. This works but there’s a noticeable lag. Audience logic for mapped text link
In our embedded knowledge bot, we have several web links. How can we view the analytics for each link? I don’t see them when I look at the knowledge center on the Analytics tab. And in the product mapper, I couldn’t get any CSS sectors to work.
Walkthroughs - More tooltip optionsNo Status
It would be nice to have the following options for tootips in a walkthrough:The ability to advance to the next step when you click the UI element that the tooltip is linked to. For example, to see the next step, I don’t want to click the Next button and then click the Create button. I’d rather just click the Create button. The ability to allow users to use the application while the tooltip is visible. For example, I want a tooltip with useful information to be visible while I enter some information.
When I click an external link, such as the online help, that opens in a new tab, I want the knowledge center to be closed automatically. Then I won’t have manually close the it because it covers an area in the application that I want to access.
External links - Ability to add relative linksAcknowledged
I would like to add a relative link so that the link opens the correct site for the environment. For example, I want to add a relative link so that it will open the QA release notes site from the QA environment and the production release notes site from the production environment.
Please add more options for customizing the knowledge center alert badges. Some ideas:Allow the main alert badge and category badge to be customized separately Make the count optional inside each badge Add access to the css for alert badgesExample:
Knowledge center alert badge - Ability to select categories that are included in the main badge countNo Status
Please add the ability to select which categories are included in the main badge count. For example, I only want the badge to show for the What's New category. However, the main badge count includes all unopened engagements, including those in another category. When I open the Knowledge Center, the badge displays the correct number (2) on the What's New section but doesn't match the number (4) on the icon. I understand now that the category selection is only for setting which categories display a badge inside the knowledge center. However, I just want to notify users when they have unopened engagements in the selected category, and not for every unopened engagement.
