Journey Orchestrator: Edit/Remove waits and steps within a programUnder Consideration
Ability to edit a program after it has been published including changing conditional wait is being picked up for implementation as part of the JO redesign exercise. This is phase 2 of the redesign. We are currently in the UI / tech design stage - As this is a major overhaul, you may look for more updates over the next quarter. As part of the redesign project for JO, we have recently released Simple Programs as Beta (JO redesign Phase 1), which greatly simplifies the program setup process for quickly launching single source, single step programs. Please refer to Simple Programs documentation for more details.
Clone a query within a ProgramPartially Fixed
An update:We will be supporting Data Designer as a source for JO programs going forward. Data designer offers significant enhancements to the Query builder experience overall in terms of UX as well as capabilities. Query builder will be subsumed into Data designer.‘Clone’ is one of the options available with Data Designer. Simple programs which is the next iteration of JO (currently in Beta) supports Data Designer as a data source, and the support for the same will also be added to ‘Advanced programs’ in a future release.
Yes, this is a great idea.We will be looking into supporting the usecase as part of our email template builder enhancements. It would be good to understand - What should the profile picture display when it is not provided / available? +@ssamarth
Hi @angela_domenichelli ,Yes, the option to track Email assist emails in timeline was there earlier. In this release, we have added a new control under ‘Administration’ - ‘Cockpit’ in the ‘Call to Action’ page - under ‘Company ‘tab.If admin enables this toggle, user will see ‘Log email to timeline’ checkbox while sending the email from cockpit. If the toggle is disabled, user will not see ‘Log email to timeline’ checkbox.Toggle name: Automatically Track Email Assist Emails in Timeline:
#1 is implemented in April / May release. As part of this release, Email assist 2.0 is bringing in key new improvements. One of the new additions is the Organisation wide email - where Gainsight users can choose From and Reply-to addresses from a list of email addresses that an admin configures.Email Assist 2.0 is being rolled out in 3 phases, and the final batch is scheduled to be completed early June. Please refer to this article on Whats new with Email Assist 2.0.

Tabular Reports in Journey OrchestratorPartially Fixed
@angela_domenichelli - The rows embedded within the email body would be limited to a maximum of 100, from 20 today (table filtered for recipients).Today If there are more than 20 rows in the tabular report, currently the extra rows are truncated in email body. The email is still sent out to the recipient with 20 rows. However, as a workaround if the same report is embedded as an attachment, full data is included for all the rows
Tabular Reports in Journey OrchestratorPartially Fixed
@alizee.levavasseur - we are expanding the limit on number of rows permitted in embedded reports for upto 100 rows as a quick fix in this quarter.Could you please share the typical number of records you are looking to embed within an email body? Subsequently, we are also looking into providing further customisation options such as automatically shifting to an attachment when the tabular report crosses the max row threshold. I have added embedded reports enhancements to our backlog for prioritisation
Hi,Happy to share that enhancements to conditional wait to support ‘Day of week’ logic tied to a user / participant’s timezone is part of our near term roadmap. (for later this year)This would allow admins to configure conditional wait to optionally skip counting ‘Off days’ in a week. The off days can be the same for all participants entering the conditional wait, or be based on the participant’s local timezone.
Emails to timeline via Program in Journey OrchestratorIN DEVELOPMENT
Hi,As a quick update on this thread, happy to share that we are moving forward with ‘Integrating Timeline with JO’ to present a comprehensive view of all comms. With this you will be able to set which emails sent via JO programs will need to logged into timeline as an activity automatically.
Ability to Use S3 Datasets in Program Query BuilderWorkaround Available
We are adding support for Data designer as a source in JO Simple programs initiative being targeted for a Q2-2022 release. This is currently under development.S3 data can be setup to be consumed within Data designer. The same capability will be further extended to JO advanced programs subsequently.
Email Assist - emailing multiple accountsWorkaround Available
Team,The august release (V6.27) added support for CSMs to associate a timeline activity to multiple records such as companies, relationships, CTAs or Cases. Release note v6.27 - Refer to section on “Associated Records in Timeline Activities”Here is the full guide on how this can be setup . CC @sriram pasupathi for details on extending the support to GS assist, plugins
A quick update on the above - A fix to address this is being developed as part of the Jan 2022 release. Whenever a token value is null / cannot be resolved, system will replace it with NA and continue to create the CTA
Business Day Conditional WaitUnder Consideration
@alizee.levavasseur , The general idea is to leave the allowed days configurable to the admin at a program level. This would allow the admin to set any day of a week as off day(s).For the initial implementation, the applicable timezone would be as configured by the admin. This is still high on priority in planning.
Hi @andreammelde ,Thanks for the post. As a rough workaround, have you tried using the folders to organise the JO programs? For example, lets say we have 3 folders - Draft, QA ready and Approved. You can move around the programs based on the state they are in by dragging and dropping the program into appropriate folders. While this is strictly not permission driven, it should allow you to organise your programs better. For a productised way of handling this, we are currently in the process of a redesign exercise and we are looking to support searchable ‘tags’ that a user can assign to a program. For example these tags can be Draft, Approved etc. Do you think this would simply the process flow? Secondly, we are also looking to add few more granular controls in the ‘Permissions bundle’ under admin that would restrict the JO program ‘Publish’ capability to only a set of ‘configured users’ - This is on our roadmap backlog.Let me know if this helps.
Email Template Video PlayerAcknowledged
Hi @B.Abrahams ,Thanks for posting the idea. We are currently in the process of revamping the email template builder to provide a much cleaner and intuitive template configuration experience. Adding the video preview option to the product backlog for prioritisation.
