People maps field question We have a customer field in the map that I would like to be a look up menu. It is current set up as “String” which is free text. The list of data types that exist are the following. Do any of these make a menu? Boolean Currency Date Datetime Dropdownlist Email GS ID Multi Select dropdown list Number Percentage Rich Text Area SFDC ID Who ID String I would like the look up menu to point to the Gainsight user table. Is that possible? For instance we have global filters in our reports that will let you key in a menu look up for Gainsight users (Sales Executives/CSMs/CSM Directors/CS VPs etc. Questions about people maps reportsWe currently have a report that we would like to see Person records under accounts for which they are included in a people map. The person records appear to be associated to other companies, and so we are seeing them appear in multiple rows. Is there a way to filter/isolate a report for only person records in which a map incu

Hi Spencer,Some questions on people maps1.) We want some information on people maps detailed view to be di-directional to SF. can this be accomplished by a rule? 2.) The last activity for a person in a people map, is that ‘any’ activity on timeline. For instance an email activity type would could? Or can this be isolated to ‘call’ and ‘meeting’ type. We want to show last activity as a meeting or call only, as emails are frequent on timeline and not representative of a true high level of engagement with stakeholders.

Question: I have a report off the activity timeline data space (screenshot below) and i am simply trying to put it on a dashboard and add a global filter for ‘Customer Success Manager Name’, so that via the global filter a CSM can look at their data. In the screenshot attached report #1 and #2 are off the data space (call to action), and i had no issue locating ‘customer success manager name’ to map the field for these reports. However for this report (#3) in the screenshot ‘customer success manager name’ is not available in the search to map. I’m wondering if that is because it is off the activity timeline object? is there a way i can add ‘customer success manager name’ here to select?
Hi Spencer, my post didnt save, i have some general questions on data design and how to pull Success Plan Status (Active/Draft/Closed) into my report. I had a ticket to gainsight where this can be pulled using objects GS Meta Info (Record Id + System name) and CTA Group Object (Status). With a left join. Hello Spencer, I need help with Data Designer. I have a report that produced from a successful merge between CTA Group and Success Plan Object. However i need to add another object GS Meta info, and looking for assistance in the steps when i already have 2 merged objects and need to bring in a third. Thanks!
Hi Spencer, We are looking to embed a list of bookmarked URLs into gainsight C360. We are doing this today with by merging 2 reports together and creating rules to add the URLs into the report. Looking to understand if there is another and easier way to accomplish this. Thanks, Shiea
Hello, Looking to understand Gainsight’s best practices with depricating and creating a new updated Success Plan Template. Use Case: Our Account Executives document in a 2019 template that is getting updated for 2020, we need to inactivate or hide the 2019 template from being selected, but do not want to loose the data by deleting it. I don’t want to update the 2019 template with the changes because it will then be modified. If i delete the 2019 template from the back end table, does it wipe out the 2019 success plans that are still active OR completed in which the template was used? Is there anything you are aware of on the road map for having a “hide” or inactivate setting? This would be helpful when you are waiting for an organizational release date to make a feature available, in the use case above where you are depricating a template. Thank you! Shiela
I have another question on the healthscore writing to timeline feature that was outlined in the november release notes. This will auto release in february. Can you confirm the date? Also can you share how we can set up a new custom activity type “Health score update” for which we can edit the rule to look to and push our historical objective measures and their comments? We were advised that we can create an activity type of our choice rather than push the historical data to the type of “update” however i see no information on this in the release notes for set up. Additionally when a rule runs and pushes historical objective measures and their comments to the timeline, will the user experience be individual timeline feeds for EACH objective measure? or is there a way that we can aggregate so that we will only experience 1 timeline entry will publish for all of our objective measures and comments.
Can you please explain how Person vs Contact Object vs Sponsor tracking speak/write back to each other today in Gainsight and how they will work in NXT? Today our Support Center and other internal teams look to the SF contact record as the source of truth for information about contacts within customer accounts. We would like to leverage people mapping, and therefore must add person into the C360. My understanding is that we currently have a rule that looks to the contact records in SF, and writes them back to the person object. Therefore can we assume that the person object will always refect accurately? Our concern with using people mapping was that there would be 2 sources of customer contact data that may have a discepency. What is the best practice also then for users? Should we advise our CSMS, never to update the person record in gainsight? Only to use people mapping. If a record must be updated they should continue to do it in SF contacts and so the information will cross over
Hi Spencer, I have a general quick question on what can be displayed in the Objective CTA details and how it can be displayed. Currently there is a field for “associated contacts” where you can choose more than 1 contact on the account. Since this is pulling from the SF contact record, we were wondering if it was possible to also display additional data relative to each contact, and if so how does that appear? For example let’s say for an objective CTA, the associated contacts added are “John Smith” and “Jane Doe.” John Smith in SF has the title of “CFO” of the account, and Jane Doe is the “CMO.” In SF contact record- John’s relationship status is “neutral” and Jane is “positive.” Can we display this information (Title) and (Relationship status) with their Names in Gainsight’s CTA layout, if these fields are on the contact record in SF? And if they can be displayed how the additional data be displayed?

Hello, We are struggling with Success Snapshot 2.0. Would like some tips and tricks for tokens/links, and adding reports. Some challenges we struggle with When adding a report into the deck, if the column has free text fields it cuts off when displayed in success snapshot 2.0 Previewing the deck slides in success snapshot 2.0 in the admin table is challenging, no ability to preview Overview of the choices in the tokens - where do these pull from Would be great to see something built from start to finish as a demo The columns/data you can add *specific to success plan data* is very limited. Today, we have the ability to add custom fields to Success plans which is great, but it doesnt seem like snapshots has the ability to extract that into the deck. We would like to display health score, measure, comments into success snapshot 2.0.
Hello, I can only join towards the latter half 4:30PM EST so hoping office hours are a 1 hour session! I was interested in learning more about success snapshots. Is it possible to see a demo of the feature? Use cases: We would like to use success snapshots to export information from a specific success plan (pulling data from the plan info, and the objetive CTAs) for that particular success plan. For example if a CSM would like to do a customer round robin review with their internal team, they can export the current inormation from their success plan into success snapshots and then share that PPT with their team to discuss the account status. Is that possible, and can you show how success snapshots can be leveraged to display PPT updates on the success plan data?

If i have meetings on my outlook for instance with a customer, how does mobile know when it provides me the alert, which customer's c360 summary to surface to me so that i can log a timeline entry. How is mobile pickng up this information from outlook, or is it using salesforce in some way to identify? Thanks, Shiela

Frequent timeline entries is a great suggestion. If you are already meeting regularly with the contact and logging entries, surfacing those contracts first with some intelligence would be helpful! Or perhaps it prompts the CSM to track those individuals that are frequently entered on the timeline, recommending them by surfacing first.

Just a future suggestion, but it would be great if in the beta recruitment email that product sends out- you could provide this info? We have different CSMs who participate in your Betas, and unless they know to go to the main page, they may also experience difficulty posting their feedback as they dont use the Gainsight community often. I had looked on the "people map page" up and down and thought it was a permission issue, since i was unable to add a comment, and others may be experiencing the same. Thansk again for you assistance!
