Question

Use ISCHANGED as a filter on a specific field for Rules

It would be great to be able to use ISCHANGED to trigger a rule. Without this I have to create more fields and a flow in SF to accomplish triggering a rule based on if a field value changes.

Thank you

@HWhisman thank you for sharing this here. Our product team is working on rules revamp, so changing this to idea and redirecting to the product team. Hope they would consider this.

Hi @HWhisman

Can you add some additional details around what is the usecase and what do you want to accomplish here?

I am not very familiar with ISCHANGED → is this some Salesforce capability?

Hi, yes this is something that you can do in Salesforce. So you can have a process or rule fire when the value in a specific field changes. ISCHANGED is the Salesforce nomenclature.

“ISCHANGED :- Compares the value of a field to the previous value and returns TRUE if the values are different. If the values are the same, this function returns FALSE.”

I upvote this Idea. As it will be super helpful whenever the field value changes to trigger an event like CTA. Thanks!!
