Hi folks, New to Gainsight user here. I'm setting up a Rules Engine rule to send an email using Marketo. The Rules Engine action step includes several actions: 1. Send email using Marketo 2. Load to Milestone 3. Load to Customers (to set a date field) I've noticed that when setting up a CTA, there is an option on the CTA to allow it to set the CTA once every X days. I'd like to have this functionality for the other action types (mentioned above), but better yet, I'd love to set it at the rule level. Rather than allow an account to qualify for the rule, only to be excluded at the action step, I'd really like to prevent the account from qualifying to run through the rule altogether. Any best practices or suggestions on how to accomplish this? I've tried a few different things, but nothing has worked quite how I'd like so far. I'm thinking the best option would be to create a custom date field on the customer info object for each Rule, and se
The short description is, I use the rules engine to push out a cta which one task is an email from JO. There are two tokens in the email. If the two token fields are not in the rule, the rule does not fail yet it also does not create the CTAs where the tokens are missing. The rule should throw a partial failure or not allow the save of the rule and throw an error because tokens are missing.
Within my companies services business, we often have customer sites that have multiple services contracts at once. Each of these contracts can have its own contract category and product family tied to them. When working with the Rules Engine I was trying to aggregate data at the site level to gain a representation of overall site usage against the contracts that they have. With multiple rows attributing to one site, I attempted to group by customer site but ran into an issue with summarizing the different string fields. The current aggregation functionality for String is 'Count', 'Count Distinct', 'Min', Max'. I think it would be valuable to be able to aggregate string field by concatenating them together into a longer string. I would then be able to utilize the 'Contains' filter functionality to apply further logic within the rule. Summary: The ability to concatenate string fields when aggregating data would be very helpful.
When performing a Transformation the Date Diff calculation dialog box says "Date Diff: Calculates the number of days, months, or years between two dates" but in an argument with a date field and rule date, the only output value option is days. Is this because both the date field and the rule date are MM/DD/YYYY format?

Hi Team, We are able to create lookup on System Objects from standard objects but we cannot create lookup from Custom objects to standard objects. We know that it is the limitation we have now but multiple users are asking for this option. So could you please have a look over this request. Thanks, Prathap
I have a special rule that I have built to fire a CTA whenever a certain event takes place in SFDC. I want to be able to run this repeatedly though out the day, and have my Success Operations team react when these items are created. In looking at the Advanced Scheduler it looks like I can only schedule this every two hours, which is fine. I am just curious if this is correct? CRON Expression for two hours is : 0 0 0/2 1/1 * ? * and that will work. If I make the CRON expression every 15 minutes like this: 0 0/15 * 1/1 * ? * it says too short a Duration. Is two hours my limit for how short of a frequency I can schedule things?
It would be super helpful to be able to see the data as you're making adjustments in the Rules Engine. I've heard the workaround for this is to create a report, but this means I have to flip from report to Rules to see how changes are effecting the data, which would be easier to troubleshoot in the same page.
Hi! I am trying to set up a new data ingest job via the S3 Bucket in Connectors. I am having trouble finding the source csv field.. do I just use what I have saved on my computer or wait to actually send it via the S3 datafeed and then I can pull it in for mapping? Not sure how the Connector picks up on the csv field. Any help on this setup would be much appreciated! To go over the process: I create the code to push the csv into the S3 connector using the Bucket Path, access key, and security token information that I can find in the Connector section of GS. Then I create a new Data Injest job, add the CSV? (This is where I am unsure on how to add the CSV to finish the mapping to the MDA) Cheers, Manmeet
I would like to use rules to get a count of result records, or even better, the count with the results list. I am doing this in rules because the process involves multiple tables. I don't want to take action on each of the results. I just want to report on them. For just reporting the count of results The count I need is part of the rule report - showing on my last task line. While I can run the rule manually to get this each time I need it, can I schedule the rule with no action so that this report is delivered automatically? No processing is needed on the results. For reporting the count with a list of results I noticed that if no action is set up, all I get is the first tab in the rules report. So if I want to get a list of results, is there a harmless action I can plan? If my results were a list of contacts, I can probably set a field to a given value. In this case, the results is a list of accounts within a relationship. Suggestions?
I would like to trigger a CTA to the account owner when the sentiment score of an account has been changed to yellow or red. I can't seem to find this option in the rules engine. I was able to build this for the overall scorecard change but this would specifically be for the sentiment score change. thanks
Currently we use Salesforce to do Org Mapping but there are a lot of restrictions. Is there a way to do org mapping like this in Gainsight?
What are the benefits of using the Person section over just having data from the contact object on the C360 page? Right now we have the contacts section on our C360 where they can get to contacts and edit them in SFDC. But I am struggling to see the value of adding another section on users without understanding what the value of it is.
Has anyone ever faced this issue? I am trying to clone a report for a specific relationship and I cannot edit the relationship type when I clone the rule. Any suggestions on this or is this isknown issue?
