I created an engagement to highlight a virtual event in our product. I'd like to be able to show the engagement every week [b]IF[/b] the user hasn't clicked on the 'Register Now' button. Is there a way to do this? In the Audience tab, you can select the engagement but then only have the option to target an event that it's been "Viewed" or "Completed". This would then leave out people who haven't seen it yet. Also, would "Completed" be tracking the custom button I added in the engagement or something else? Include "Contains" in URL selectionNo Status
USE CASE: Currently in PX, While mapping the features to the Product Mapper, We have to select the exact scope i.e, “URL”. It would be helpful to have the “Contains” option while adding the URL, it would be a very handy to have a contains option. Sometimes, It’s a bit hard to select/add the entire URL while mapping. **Currently We have only “Is” or “Is not” options** Here is the reference image, Thanks, Shireesha.
Targeting email Audience Via CSVNo Status
Speaking with a customer who would like to be able to target an email audience by using a CSV. Use Case: The use case is that they sent an email to a list of customers (including multiple within an account) from Gainsight and had it come from the CSM. They want to follow up on that email with a GainsightPX notification (dialog engagement) to that same list of people–like a multi-touch campaign across channels for specific customers. They would like to target this specific list with a notification when they log in to the product.
Segmentation ImprovementsPartially Fixed
I think there are some improvements to be made in the Segmentation engine. Cannot do segments within segments. This really limits our ability to manage custom audiences and merge them together as necessary for guides or other purposes. Can AND and OR criteria, but cannot do something like this: "target engagement to users who visited NewsCenter feature < 5 times within the last 30 days." Can only do: "NewsCenter feature < 5 times", "Visited anywhere in product within 30 days". Thanks for listening!
Reporting / Analytics feels like it needs an overhaulUnder Consideration
These are the concerns I've been sharing with the PX team for a while now, figured I would share here as well as there are likely others with similar or tangential challenges. Feel free to share your thoughts here. Reporting Limitations Have to go to 3-4 different sections of the reporting interface to get an answer or create a report. There are substantial UI inconsistencies between the different areas of reporting. It’s like they were built individually by different teams and patched together. Some filters exist in parts of the reporting, while they don't exist in others. Again, just more inconsistencies. For example, I’m in one part of analytics and get close to what I need using a filter. I think to myself, “oooh, I could go over to that other part of analytics and use the same filter and get what I’m looking for” only to find I can’t use that filter over there. Saving or sharing is handled in 3-4 completely different ways, depending on the part of reporting you're in. Query
Testing Workflow LimitationsNo Status
Hi folks, I think there’s a lot of room for improvement in how one goes about building, testing, and deploying engagements. Some challenges we’ve run into: There is essentially zero testing workflow. This causes us constant challenges as we have to work in a production environment. You cannot copy engagements from a test environment into a production one. This makes building in a test environment relatively useless due to duplication of effort required. There is no way to easily put something into "test mode" so that only certain users have access (without building a custom segment). There should be some kind of "sand box" mode where you can dig in and test. Preview mode doesn't always match what happens in reality. There is no way to test whether or not a segment will fire based on inputs. This is a big one. I think it would be great to have a sandbox/preview mode where there's a right-panel that allows you to change certain inputs. For example, entering an "account name" and "
No Direct connect with GainsightImplemented
Currenly PX can only sync with Salesforce Account level which is extreamely limiting, expecially when my salesforce admin is very hesitant to put any more fields to the SFDC account level so it would be nice as you guys start building out PX to make it where Gainsight objects can directly sync to PX and not have to mess up SFDC.
USE CASE: Currently in PX, There is no option to filter the top features which are used by customer. For Example, There is a customer called “A1” and there are some specific users for that customer. We need the overall features used by the Users of the customer. The steps needs to follow is, 1. select an organization (one of our customers) 2. have an overview of all the users 3. for each user, I would like to see their top used features Below is the reference image, ***With the current design, We can only view the top features but not “which user used How many features”.***
In the pre-PX era, we have experimented with usage data from Mixpanel in Google sheets. The following graph proved very useful, both for CSMs to start a discussion with project leads at customers and for our product team to assess the adoption of features (both on global level as for strategic accounts). For a selected set of features, this spiderweb graph shows the percentage of users using those features for selected accounts (blue) and for all accounts (or all accounts adhering to a specific filter), so you can benchmark the feature adoption. The graph really gives a nice overview of feature adoption and it would be great if this graphical representation would become available for PX adoption reports.
Customize Emailed ReportsNo Status
Regarding the emailed reports that gets sent to PX users, it would be fantastic to customize them. A Customer Success use case would be for each CSM to receive a report of their respective accounts and usage information. This will help each CSM keep their accounts top of mind weekly/daily. How do we mask the URL and prevent them from logging in the URL TrackingResponse from Customer
Use Case: When we have any url and wanted to mask/exclude the part in the tracking, so as to prevent seeing the entire url in plaintext in the 'Recent Activity' of an user. Like reset-password. change-email,set-initial-password We have the feature "Set the filter to mask or exclude urls" in the SDK settings. PX: Ease of reporting in PXNo Status
I face the difficulity when customer comes up and say that they have some issue with the reports. Here are the pain points 1. I will not be able to view the customer report that they are pointing to. 2. When customer want to delete the attributes they get an error if it is being consumed either in segments/engagement Audience or in reports, so will not be able to take a look of their dependencies unless they share the reports. 3. Multiple users can create multiple reports where there is no global visibilty. 4. Sharing of the reports can be avoided if we have the global visibility. Thanks Dileep Nalla
Engagements: Editing tooltip pointer CSSAcknowledged
Hi all, A seemingly simple task, but when editing a PX engagement I can't see how to edit the CSS style for a tooltip pointer, i.e., the little "arrow" attached to the tooltip that points to a specific location on the page. Editing the CSS for the tooltip itself is easy within the Editor, but It appears that the CSS for the pointer is outside the scope of the other styles. I assume I'm just missing the obvious and would appreciate having someone point me to the correct solution. This is important because the default color for the tooltip pointer is white, and on a page with a white background the pointer is invisible. We can override the background color in the Editor to a light gray to allow the pointer to stand out, but this is not our desired approach. Thanks! Chad
I often interspersed a modal like this in the walk through tool my company used prior to shifting to PX: [img]https://d1qy7qyune0vt1.cloudfront.net/gainsight-en/attachment/toast-b004be6f-979b-4f1a-9b8e-81035758d747-261604834.png[/img]The users could do whatever they needed on the page, and the modal would persist in a corner of the screen despite minor url changes. When they clicked "Next," the next step would appear. (The (?) spots reveal explainer tooltip text on mouseover--just regular html stuff that we can do in PX too) WHY IS IT USEFUL This technique worked well in cases where a user may need to take any number of steps (or no steps if already ready) before moving on to the next part of a process. It's the digital analog to a tour guide saying, "get some snacks, hit up the restrooms, meet back at the bus in ten minutes." Does this make sense and has anyone found a good way to handle this kind of function in PX?
Hi Team and @harshibanka , I sometimes don’t find the exact results of the search i do in the search bar in the Engagements section.If i search for this engagement “[WELCOME] Search – Main – Guide” which is the 2 one as per the below image. I get the following message saying that no engagement found. It would be better if the search results work in the expected fashion. thanks,Avinash.
Recently we are working to enable PX bot in our app, and want to lead users to our video training instead of the KB article. The text ‘read more’ is hard text and can’t be changed. It would be great to have the option to change this text. i.e. watch the video…. learn more…. etc. For our use case, read more… doesn’t work. Thanks

SFDC ID in Filtering users in PXNo Status
Currently, we are not able to filter out the users/accounts based on the Salesforce Contact ID/Account ID, even though it is a standard attribute.Even after exporting the Accounts/Audience, we are still not able to get the data of SFDC ID value. Hey all, I'm looking to setup 'hold out/control groups' for some of our new engagements. It's not an A/B test where I'm comparing two different engagements, but rather users who would not see engagements (our baseline) and then those who will. This should help us validate if our engagements are influencing adoption/behavior of tools. We are new to PX and only have a several weeks of data so looking for increase in trends will be a hard route for us at this time. We can turn it on/off for different months, but seasonality is something specific to our user base and would be a flaw in our results. I'm aware there is no tool (but could be in the future PX product team ;)). Has anyone else found a creative way to create a control group? Sarah
Manually Edit User or Account Attribute VALUES in Gainsight PXWorkaround Available
USE CASE:I have a custom account field for companies who’ve elected to NOT receive engagements. So I want to edit the attribute value for the specific accounts based on customer feedback whether they should receive the Engagements or not, and this can be used as a rule in audience criteria in the Engagements (Display the engagement If the custom attribute value is true only). I’d like to be able to manually change it within PX without an unnecessarily heavy API process. Other Solutions We have:If we have the integration with SFDC, we can create a field in SFDC(Account/Contact) and Create a custom attribute on Account/User in PX and sync the value We can update the field using the API’sHowever, there is no way to edit or update the field value manually.
