For CS Salesforce orgs that opt-in to automatic upgrades, your Sandbox orgs are being upgraded to v6.10 today (Jan. 14), and the Production upgrade is on Jan. 28. The 6.10 upgrade is also live in all NXT orgs.

Release Highlights:

  • Admins can now control which email templates are accessible to CSMs when they are using the Send Email option in Cockpit for sending ad-hoc emails. (please review important changes below for more info)
  • The Picklist Data type field in Programs enables you to leverage picklist data as tokens within Programs for even greater personalization.

  • Data Designer now auto imports the mapping information present in Gainsight Data Management, so you can easily use these fields in other areas of Gainsight such as the
    Rules Engine.

  • In GS Assist, email attachments can now be synced to Timeline activities for emails sent using Playbooks and Send Email options to ensure all relevant information for customer interactions is captured.

Draft Release Notes:

IMPORTANT CHANGES:

All existing email templates were switched to not available for Cockpit Send Email tasks with this release, and need to be manually set to available. This currently impacts all NXT orgs and Salesforce Sandboxes. The default setting will be modified for the Salesforce production release, so that all templates continue to be accessible to end users, which also aligns with the info in our draft release notes. We’ll be sure to update you in future communications, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Additionally, with this release you will no longer be able to edit email 1.0 templates. We recommend reviewing your existing templates and migrating them to Email Templates 2.0. For more information, please refer to the Email Templates 1.0 Retirement FAQ. (This only impacts the Salesforce edition.)
