Will the Person and Company object lookup APIs work similarly for GS and NXT. I mean, if one client is able to provide with access key and domain URL for Gainsight GS and another client is able to provide access to their access key and domain URL. Then will the same code to access Person and Company object work correctly? OR are the APIs different for GS and NXT
Hello,Using Gainsight Assist on Outlook.Once an email is logged to a timeline, is there a way to change the company or relationship?Thing is our Company/Relationships are frequently changed because of the number of customer we are working with and their hierarchy can change a lot.
Hi , We have made a connection from Zendesk to Gainsight and it is working fine .There are few fields in GS org which are not in Zendesk org , So we would like to update the data from GS to Zendesk , is there a way by which i could update a few fields from GS to Zendesk?
What can folks share about using Gainsight NXT in SFDC app as opposed to using Gainsight NXT (on its own)? We are heavy SFDC users so I think there could be a lot of value from using Gainsight NXT in SFDC, but I’m not finding much support documentation on the differences and value proposition for making the shift.Do you have users that use both? Is it best practice to advise them to use either the NXT in SFDC or NXT on its own? My fear is that we’ll build things because of the capabilities in Gainsight NXT in SFDC but then users using the regular Gainsight NXT won’t see them
Hi There,Recently I have seen some use-cases where user wants to populate a Company attribute change date automatically. As an example, user wants to project the Segment Change Date as and when the Segment attribute on the Company is modified, rather that CSM updating it manually.To achieve this use-case-First, you need to create a Low volume object with the fields that you want to track, along with Company ID. Then, configure a Real-Time rule to load changes to this object using Company event. Lastly, create a simple rule, to fetch from this low volume object with MAX aggregation on the Change Date and update to Company attribute using “Load to Company”. And schedule this rule to run daily. Here is small video on this use-case-
In Gainsight, is there a setting to view recently viewed accounts and/ or contacts, like there is in Salesforce? In SFDC, if you click on “Accounts” it shows you a list of all the accounts you were most recently working in. Also, at a previous company where I worked that used Salesforce, the most recent 4 Opportunities / Contacts / Accounts would could always be seen at the bottom of your home screen with hyperlinks into them. This saves time of doing a search for an account every time, especially when you’re flipping between the same accounts many times throughout the day. Is there a feature / setting for this in Gainsight, that would have the most recent accounts with hyperlinks? And if not, could there be?
Over and over again we get new functionality in Gainsight but less and less troubleshooting logs. Example is the newest Connectors 2.0. I have been testing this and already frustrated because the failure emails say check the log but the logs have no detail either.Error message also look different from others and should be all consist in layout and content. Rules too should be able to send notifications for empty results or partial failures with better detail. Sometimes admins won’t care about 1 record failure vs the majority partial failures.While end users can enjoy great end product functions, admins get less and less these days.end rant
HI Team, We’ve got a request from customer.In the tableau report builder user not able to see all the records, and able to see the last 180 days' records only. User overall goal is to have all the records form system and custom object reports.(Call to action and success plan related objects)Currently we have limitation in the tableau reports that we can get display records for only the last 180 days, provided you apply a filter on the CreateDate field.
How does the GS assist plug-in work?Does the plug-in work exclusively on the entire email address of a client? Is it possible to map just the domain? We are emailing some clients that are not our primary POC's and as a result, emails are not getting mapped correctly.
UPDATE: We got it working!We are trying to set up a connector to Snowflake and having some issues setting up the connection. We’ve double checked all the credentials and tried several combinations, and still not having much luck. Does anyone have any tips on additional things to check?
Martin from Frontline Education has given us the feedback regarding assigning custom permission sets.Here is what customer wrote: Thanks for checking. I've gotten past it so no confusion but happy to provide some feedback to help for others when this situation comes up next. It seems Gainsight works differently then the dozens of other packages we have in Salesforce. In general, these permission sets are additive - meaning if you have a lower level AND a higher level, it counts as the higher level and you get that access. It is also suggested by others (and a former CSM of ours) to clone package sets so they can be extended with non package permissions to make admin life easier. So in Gainsight's case. The cloned GS Viewer which had extra permissions not related to GS (like editing fields on an account) counted as full even though it didn't grant any actual abilities to do anything in Gainsight. If I also applied the standard GS viewer on top of that custom one - it all of a sudden
Is it possible to add additional Summary, Objective, and Task slides to a Success Snapshot template that has been uploaded?
User is wanting to be able to add additional Summary, Objective, and Task slides to a Success Snapshot, but the “duplicate” option is greyed out on those slides. Is it possible to have additional of those slides?
Gainsight Home is a great way to see all assigned CTA’s, but there are times that a user is assigned a Task and that does not show up under the Cockpit widget, since the Global filter is for CSM. This would be a great enhancement to be able to see CTAs and Task in the widget.
It would be great to have separate global filters on GS Home in order to assign to different users. Use case: User is not a CSM and is unable to see their CTA’s. Although, this works for most users it would be great to have different global filters to assign to different users that are not CSMs.
Hi Gainsight Community Here are few FAQ’s that I come across from Admin in the consultations call of Adoption Explorer. I thought of putting them here to help Admins! How to add new fields to AE project which is active and running when a new field is added to the source and can we load historical data as well to newly added fields? - When new fields are added to the source, these fields will appear in the AE objects, you just need to drag and drop them from the left to right side pane and save the source. You need run the project for historical dates to bring data to fields for older dates Can we schedule the Adoption Explorer project to run Monthly? We do not option to run at Monthly, by default the adoption Explorer concept is to bring daily usage data. Though the usage data is coming monthly once, running it daily doesn’t impact anything because the zero records/no records are loaded on remaining days though project runs. Can we add custom layout filters to the layouts in Adopti
