Copilot known issues

In the recent past there has been few issues observed in copilot. Product team has addressed part of them and working actively to address the remainder. Please refer to this sheet 



Listing down the issues that is being worked upon with fixes slated for next few weeks:





  1. Survey Analytics page not loading because of API call failure. This is only for the surveys that were distributed via Copilot. Fix slated for December 22nd release.



  2. Survey Button click is not being tracked.

    1. Reason : Email service provider does not track the click of the URL is greater than 255 chars.
    2. Hotfix : Survey URL has been shortened by 40 chars approx. This addresses the scenarios that we have seen until now.
    3. Long-term fix : Approach to shorten the URL further and warn / prevent user from having long survey URL under plan / design phase. Slated for Jan / Feb release
    Embedded report in the email not visible to recipients on Apple mail and Outlook on Mac.
    1. Reason: Mac Email client rendering issue due to file name / format. This will be an issue only for the users in Sendgrid.
    2. Fix : Jan / Feb release
    Duplicate emails when they are part of the powerlist
    1. Reason : Duplicate email are sent when one of the token values are  unique for each recipient (like first name or account name etc)
    2. Short term Fix: Duplicate emails within account will be avoided. Slated for Dec 22nd patch release.
    3. Long term Fix: Duplicate email should be avoided completely and reported back to the user. This should be user configurable so that user can chose to send one email or nothing when there is a duplicate found.
    Building Powerlist with picklist “null / empty” as the value. Slated for Jan 7th release.
  3. Outreach Schedules are shown wrong in Calendar when we view the calendar in different timezone (Client in PST/EST) - Slated for Jan 7th release.
  4. Monthly Recurring scheduled dates are shown wrong in Calendar if the start week of the month falls in previous month - Slated for Jan 7th release.
Issues that has been addressed in last two weeks:



  1. Email token replacement issue. When the powerlist had more than 1000 recipients then the token were not replaced for those beyond 1000 in that list. Fixed in last release



  2. Scheduled outreach not firing. This was due to sheer amount of schedules that gets triggered at the same moment (8 AM PST). Fix was deployed in previous patch



  3. Webhook events from Email Service provider to Gainsight for opens / clicks etc were getting skipped because of the timeout issues and sometimes getting double counted due to retries from Mandrill.



  4. Powerlist search not working for contact fields like Contact name and email on certain scenarios.



  5. Copilot permissions not visible in certain customer Org’s.



  6. When an outreach run is in queue and the outreach is deleted, then the outreach still used to run, which is being avoided now. If the Outreach run is started then there is still no way to stop it.



  7. Validation for permission and validity of survey is checked before the scheduled run of outreach. Earlier these outreaches used to execute partially.



  8. Email template issues: Survey button not getting deleted in Firefox.

Product team is committed to address these issues ASAP and understand the impact that copilot email makes would have on end recipients.
