Apply Custom Colors to CTA "Status" Field

I have a customer that is requesting the ability to be able to apply a custom color in reports for the CTA field "Reason". Reason and Status are picklist lookup fields and it appears there is a limitation for setting custom colors against these type of fields.

Picking colors for reason and status codes is a global setting (Admin -> Calls to Action). Does the customer want to override these for some reason?
