Timeline view that groups activites by CTA

I would like to be able to view the timeline in a way that aggregates/organizes activity by CTA. The order would possibly be:

Open CTAs at the top, followed by closed CTAs by date, then you can expand and see all of the activities that roll up to those. 

Progress Call CTA - Open
-Activity 3
-Activity 2
-Activity 1

Welcome Call CTA - Closed
-Activity 3
-Activity 2
-Activity 1

Activity 10 - Courtesy Email - Relationship Activity not associated to CTA
Activity 22 - Happy Birthday Call - Relationship Activity not associated to CTA
..
..

I know this would essentially 'disorganize' the timeline view by time, but I would like to easily see how many activities are related to a particular CTA right in the timeline. I could also easily see open and Closed CTAs from this view that have activities (or maybe that don't if you add the ability to see all CTAs on the timeline, which I also would like to do)

Hi Justin,

Is the purpose of this view mainly reporting? where you want to see how many CTAs have/ don't have activities? Or would you like to take actions on the CTAs too?

If you would like to take actions, then would it work if we give an option to filter CTAs in Cockpit based on they having or not having activities?

They idea is to give a view that is not chronological but 'major action' pivoted on CTA.

A CTA could sometimes have 5-6 activities logged against it, while the CSM might also call the customer for other reasons (activity not associated with a CTA), etc.  It would be nice to see the activities related to a single CTA right in the timeline view as a pivoted filter view.  

Likely an alternate request, but showing the CTA name (subject) on the activity instead of the work "CTA" might also be helpful.
