Reparenting tool in Gainsight for merged accounts

Often times in SFDC, their can be mergers and acquisitions, or even just general clean up efforts, where accounts and their children records get merged.  SFDC has a very clean process for this.

Wondering how we can achieve parity in Gainsight.  Examples include having two accounts merge in SFDC, then allowing someone to manually fire a process that looks at all records in Gainsight between Account 1 and merging to Account 2.

Part of this will require allowing "re-parenting of children records", which is currently UNCHECKED (FALSE) on all Gainsight objects.

It seems like this would be a very simple change.  We have this need on GS Relationships.  We have Relationships that represent our billing entities, and sometimes, these billing entities get tied to the wrong salesforce account, and we make an update to the related "Billing Account" record that the Relationship is mapped to, but we can't reparent the Relationship to match that new account.  This is a pretty big deal for us.
