Since there is a good deal of manual work to be done when migrating from one SF instance (pre-prod) to another (prod), it would be very helpful for the new Admin to be provided a checklist so they know everything that needs to be checked.
I believe you are referring to X-Org tool, which helps to migrate the Gainsight configuration from one SF instance to another instance. If yes, completely agree with your assessment and will ensure to have Internal conversations and priority to take up in the product roadmap accordingly.
Thank you for responding to my idea. The system admin did the migration from our test org to our production org. I was tasked with comparing all settings/work in our test org with our production org after migration. If I hadn't gone through every tab/area within the Administration area I would have missed a lot that didn't migrate over and manually had to be done.
It would be very helpful to have so a NEW ADMIN checklist so nothing goes unchecked in after migration checks. I made myself a checklist as I went along so I know what I checked and what I had to manually do to get both orgs aligned before our launch.
