MDA Object search and sort should span past Page 1 (or whatever page you're currently on)

If searching or sorting MDA Objects through the column search/sort, results will only be returned for the current page your on.

For example, in our GS instance searching "email" in the Object Display Name column hoping to return Email Logs, the only result I get is AO Emails.

Because the Email Logs Object is on Page 2 in our instance, search didn't pick it up as a result.

Similarly, if I sort this column ascending or descending alphabetically, Email Logs and any other Object that is not on Page 1, will not be included in the sorting.

As we grow and more System and Custom objects are added to MDA, it would be helpful if the column search and sort functionalists spanned beyond the currently displayed page.

Hi Pele,

Agreed! We are looking at enhancing the search and filter capabilities on the Data Management page along with some other UX tweaks. You can expect these enhancements in the near future.

Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks,
Kunal

Pele, one tip I'll pass along that you may find helpful is to apply filters before doing your sorts. Basically the filters will result in a fetch of data from the server while the sort just works within the data that is in the browser. If you can narrow your data set down to <100 records using filters, then any sorts will work 100%

Solid pro tip Dan! Admittedly, in my haste, I thought for a moment Email Logs wasn't available any longer– luckily, I was just being a dork and didn't look at the next page :)
