  • Under Consideration
As we start getting more of our Account Executives to use the Software, we're noticing an uptick in the request for the ability to attach their recorded calls to the CTAs or Timeline entries.  Looking to expand the allowed file types to include .WAV.  Thank you!

Hi Sagan, what app(s) does your team use to record calls?

We are in early stages of looking at possible options to integrate meeting recording into Timeline more directly vs just attaching the recording file.

Do your teams record every customer facing meeting or just some? Would you find benefit in a recording that included both video (shared slides or screen shares) and audio? How much value would a transcript of the call be for you (and would your team be interested in transcripts if it was an additional cost)?

Hi Dan!  We don't utilize Video Conference calling at this time.  But our two main sources for recordings come from Interaction Desktop (our Phone Client), and Skype for Business.  There are a few AE's (Account Executives) who use Skype for Business for conferencing calling and record their call - which sometimes may include a screen share.  But mostly is just for recording the call.

In speaking for only our AE's, only certain types of calls are recorded.  So when a call is recorded, they are emailed the .WAV file of the recording.  That goes for both platforms at this time.

As for the Transcript question.  I would need to reach out to them and get their feedback on that.  So I'll update once I hear back.  :)

Thanks Sagan. On the topic of the WAV file - do you know if it's compressed or full format? WAV files used to be pretty hefty in size compared to an MP3 or AAC format that utilizes compression. What is the size of a typical 30 minute recording?

Hi Dan.  Polling a few of ours users, the average size of a 30 minute recording is 5MB.
