Hi Jahnavi,

We are working on introducing few date and datetime formula functions in Transformation tasks in Bionic rules using which you should be able to accomplish this. I will Keep you posted on the progress.

Jitin

Thanks Jitin. Adding them as calculated fields in MDA would also help.

I too have a use case for supporting calculated date fields in MDA.  In my case I would like the ability to calculate a date by evaluating datefield1 + Xdays.

Hi Jahnavi,

We added support for date comparison formulas in the fall release. You can see details here: https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Rules_Engine/Admin_Configuration/Formula_Builder...

Specifically:
  • DateDiff: Returns difference of the two selected dates in the selected unit.
Would this work for your use case?

Thanks Dan, Do we have this functionality in MDA objects without rules?

Hi Jahnavi,
There are some basic formulas that are supported in MDA (without requiring a rule to create the calculation). You can check out this link for the types of formulas supported: https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Data_Management_and_Integrations/Managing_Data_I...

DateDiff is not one of the formulas supported, but you can always simply create a rule to execute this formula and write the data to the MDA table.

Thanks Dan. My usecase is more towards calculating the  number of days to check the speed of the processes.
