Account Hierarchy Rollup Granularity

Hey Teams!

We have a customer use case that might make a great feature enhancement. 

In Account Hierarchy's "Calculate and Snapshot Weekly" feature, some would like to see the ability to make the data loads more granular. Adding a "Daily" along with a weekly metric for these Account Hierarchy rollups would allow for fresher data to work with throughout the week!

Thank you for your post!

I had a few clarifying questions. Does the customer want the historical snapshotting to be done 'daily' i.e, GS creates an entry daily? Or you would want the roll-up information in the widget to be updated daily but we maintain weekly stats in the historical snapshot?

Ideally, I would prefer the creation of daily entries.

The use case:
The account hierarchy feature is used to aggregate specific metrics for reporting purposes within the company.  Since the reports/dashboards look at the Account Hierarchy object (which is only updated weekly), the reports/dashboards are only accurate on Monday mornings.  The data becomes stale throughout the week - adding flexibility to the frequency with which the Account Hierarchy object is updated will enable us to accurately reflect the aggregated information continuously throughout the week.

However, I am curious to know - are we missing any capabilities in Account Hierarchy feature that creating a report/dashboard on Account Hierarchy object is helping you solve?

The limitation I'm experiencing is simply consolidating information.  The account hierarchy is very useful when viewing the C360, but when we are trying to consolidate multiple metrics from dozens of customers, it isn't practical to pull the information from each customer individually.  

Creating a report/dashboard with real-time information would enable consolidation of account hierarchy information across numerous accounts.
