I think this just changed with the recent update, but in my Zendesk ticket object in C360 the ticket numbers are no longer URL's. Was this done on purpose? It was very helpful to be able to click on a ticket number that automatically opens the ticket in Zendesk so we could we could update the ticket. Can we get this functionality back? Taking the URL away seems like a step in the wrong direction as far as convenience goes.
I tried to use the new Data Management Beta today - added a few custom fields to a custom object. When I saved it - the schema does not show the new fields I added in the beta. When I switched to the current Data Management UI - the fields I created under beta are showing here. Is there a trick to having the field list refresh in the beta?
The Matrix Data Architecture Export API returns CSV containing unquoted string values, even when the field delimiter is present in the string values. This is a problem because it makes reliably parsing the returned CSV very difficult, and perhaps impossible in some cases. This just isn't good behavior from the perspective of an Export API user/consumer.
I have a customer use case where for a set of CSMS, customer want to restrict few CTA types showing up in the dropdown while creating the CTA. Applying data permission on DA picklist is restricting those CTA types at object level but still appearing in the list on CTA creation page. Also, can we restrict one set of CSMs tagging another set of CSMs(CSMs of one region tagging CSMs from other region) in timeline? Is there a way to achieve these? If not is there anything on roadmap which enables this?
I could be missing how to do this in the documentation, but struggling to see how to load to the person object through a rule. My end goal is to actually load to the company person object, but from everything I can see, the Person ID is required to do that. I don't see a rule action or ability through S3 to load to the person object. Documentation seems to make it sound possible but I'm not seeing the ability in the load to company person object. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi Admin Community, Are you trying to bring Usage data from multiple platforms into Gainsight? Please have a look at below basic points before setting up the configuration. Is the data aggregated or raw data?: If the usage data is in high volumes, it is always recommended to do aggregations in the rule itself and bring the aggregate data into Gainsight instead of pulling the whole data dump. Aggregations on usage data with respect to user, Account and date identifiers is standard way to dump usage data. Does each platform have a common identifier?(like SFDC account id): This is the most important and first step. What common identifiers do they have on each platform and Gainsight? After pulling any usage data to Gainsight, it needs to have a lookup on Company object inorder for the CSM to build insights on top of them and bring those reports to C360 section. So it’s necessary that usage data brought from any platform should have common identifier with Company object in Gainsight. At wha
Can someone please help me with the Testing documentation for Rules, Connector jobs and other features of Gainsight please?
Hello Team, I am looking for a guidance to develop the Configuration testing guide for creating new fields in Gainsight or using them in a rule to bring data from Salesforce, or pushing data back to Salesforce.
Hi Party PeopleHas any tried to embed a low volume MDA to the R360? We notice when doing so, the relationship ID does not auto-populate and the user is supposed to copy/paste the Relationship ID from the url of that account. (yuck)This is not the same behavior when the low volume MDA table is embedded in the C360. When embedded in the C360, the Account ID is auto-populated.Is there a trick to this that I am missing. Its very clunky to expect users to copy/paste the RID from the URL, especially when the account ID populates automatically when the low volume MDA is embedded in the C360. Has anyone else experienced this?
MDA Time Zones The MDA manages time in UTC, meaning that datetime values do not work with reporting logic in Gainsight. Example: Customer has a filter set to "today" on a dashboard...at 5p PST all their dashboards go blank and start looking at "tomorrow" because the logic is based in UTC, and no data exists yet for tomorrow in their daily data. It would be best to follow timezone logic set in the SFDC org, second best would be to have the customer set it (similar to the rules engine), third would be a manual set per tenant by the Gainsight team during installation.
A customer of mine had out of sync data in their company object for the CSM field. After barking up multiple wrong trees, I uncovered that there are some values in ANOTHER Account picklist field that do not exist in the corresponding MDA dropdown picklist. GS connect does not do partial sync for fields that are fine. It is either a complete sync or a fail. It also shows GS connect was successful unless I do historical runs, btw. If I have out of sync data in Company, this design creates multiple points of failures to debug.
There are two places within Gainsight where our roll-up dollar values are showing inconsistently or where it's confusing when you look at the numbers. For instance, in the Customers tab, my total revenue is $252M and yet in the summary tab it is showing as $252,809K. Additionally, in the Customer 360 our AUM (Assets under Management) for our customers which can and often does go in to the billions for Financial services firms, the totals also show as a 'K' rather than either the true number or with a 'B'. Notice that the AUM to the side in the Summary shows the true number where the roll up of AUM in green on screenshot #1 shows the 'K'. I've attached both screen shots here for your review. Would be great to have Created By and Created Date fields added to the tables in Data Management for custom fields. I ran into a situation today where Migration created a field that already existed on the table, but I could not tell which one was the newly created one.
When reviewing our rule execution & Audit section in Gainsight Analyzer, as an Admin I am quickly trying to provide an update on our processing time but the "meter" indicator is Zero while the report metrics are present. Is this something possibly introduced with the recent release? We can still use the value from the chart, but wanted to let you know that (for at least my instance) this is no longer working as expected. I was hoping to post a screen shot of the "zero" green, yellow, red indicator but it seems I am not allowed to upload picture or they are being rejected.
I was eager to try out the calculated field/formula feature in MDA that was just released, but for some reason when I create a Number field on an object in my sandbox, the Calculated Field appears but it is not selectable and I cannot click Create Formula. Anyone else encounter this or just me?
We are currently receiving some of our data on a weekly basis that is summarized due to the size/amount of data that would be included if we received it on a daily basis. However, there would be a lot of benefit to having it on a daily basis as we would be able to more proactively engage with our customers. Is there a volume restriction on what can be loaded into the MDA?
I love GS Analyzer so much. Could we enlarge the reports on all the Config Home drilldowns so that you can see more records without having to scroll as much? There's a lot of white space there. Thank you! Example - Rules Analyzer; Bionic - Active:
Can ́t "fetch mappings" of a data job which insert data into a MDA Object from a CSV file with semic
When i ́m creating a job i have two options of separator: Comma and semicolon, but i can only fetch the mappings with a CSV file using comma. If i try to use a CSV file with semicolon that ́s what happens: Here ́s my CSV file with semicolon If i replace the semicolons with comma it Works fine That ́s really a bug or i ́m doing something wrong?
Interested to know (after talking with some data engineers getting ready to push data to a connected S3 bucket): Does Gainsight have plans to add some common file compression/decompression options? In this case, allowing an encrypted GZIP file to be uncompressed after decrypting? Just passing the question/suggestion from a newer Gainsight customer that I couldn't answer - thanks!
This seems like a problem. Thousands of records failed, yet the job status shows it completed successfully. I'm on the 5.17 release.
I am trying to reload some usage data for our product into an object located in the Data Management section (the data loaded before had errors), and then I am running the aggregation step from the Integration section. But I have noticed really big differences in the time it takes for the integration to end, although I have a similar number of lines that are aggregated. It can take from several minutes to several hours, and I don't understand why. It's really hindering my work, because I don't know what I can count on.
