Use "OR" logic instead of "AND" when selecting key fields to identify unique records in connectors 1.0
Hi Team, One of our customer is looking to use Use "OR" instead of "AND" when selecting key fields to identify unique records in connector 1.0 jobs. Current Behaviour: When setting up an Ingest Job, we have two Unique Identifiers from two different systems. Currently it is erroring out when one or the other is missing. Expectation: Create the Gainsight record with either Unique ID’s. Please see below for which key fields we have selected to identify unique records. Here’s the SS : https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQuZGGWb Please let us know your thoughts on this requirement. Best, Hardik
I created a Design in Data designer that brings data from the same object (App Usage Trends) but one of them with a date filter. Essentially: Current week and previous week. I then created a calculated field that give me the difference between the current count and previous week's count. Pretty simple. I also created several other "difference fields". The sample data at the bottom shows those calculated fields properly but when used in Analyze or a report, they show up as Zero (second screen shot). I did run the design to create a Dataspace and I get the same results in a report. Has anyone seen this before? My calculated fields are part of a Transform box and all look like this: When I did not have “Treat null as Zero” checked, that field was coming back empty, in the report, but was showing data in the sample. Real mystery. thanks! Lyne

Expected reason to show in UI : Example: The refresh token has expired due to inactivity for 90 days Reason for change: To understand the root cause and fix it from UI iteself. Best, Hardik
Hello - We have a metric that we track regarding logins, and we want it to show as blank or null if there are no active users yet because technically they could have a 0% login rate with active users which is different than 0% with no active users. I’m trying to create a calculated field on the company object. I’ve tried many different versions. All so far will show 0% even when there are no active users. I’ve tried =null, is not null, =0, ... case when Active_Users is null then null else Unique_Login / Active_Users end Thanks
I am trying to look at fallout from a CTA. I have created a data set for data designer for the items I would expect the CTA to fire on and another data set for the CTAs fired. I want to merge and only include the items from the expected that are not in CTAs. The CTAs_fired dataset is limited the type of CTA that would be fired from the rule. In SQL language: Select * from Expected_CTAs where Account_SFDC_ID not in (select Account_SFDC_ID from CTAs_Fired)
Hi Success Superstars- I’m curious learn more about if/how you’re using Gainsight and Salesforce Einstein together. A couple of scenarios we’ve heard about so far: Triggering actions in Gainsight based on Einstein predictions Improving Einstein predictions by including customer engagement data/insights stored in Gainsight. If you’re using Gainsight & Salesforce Einstein together, I’d love to learn more about what you’re doing. Please let me know in the comments below.
Hello - We have a field in our zendesk labeled “Form” it’s a standard field built off the template forms. We use this to track product type for our core products. Is this field part of the standard integration? I don’t see it in any reporting choices.
Hello all! I am racking my brain and struggling to create a new value for customer ACV based on open renewal opporutinities. I have created the custom field in the customer info object and I started creating the rule but I am really struggling with the rule logic when it comes to the formula. Does anyone have examples or documentation on how you performed this?
Is it possible to have one file in a S3 bucket be sent to a both the MDA and trigger a S3 rule? I want the dataset to be imported and cause an action within the platform but i also want to store the dataset in a Gainsight Data Object. What’s the best way to do this? Have the S3 rule get triggered once the file lands in the S3 bucket and then export it back out to the same S3 bucket with a different filename where it then can be imported into the MDA?
Hi! We are exploring using the Relationship Contact object to drive outreach for our contacts instead of relying on messy Salesforce data. I am struggling to find where I can even edit the fields on this object as I do not see it in Data Management. There is an object for Relationship Person but not for Relationship Contact. I would like to be able to customize the Role field to be a dropdown rather than a text string. Is there a way I can customize the fields on this object to make it work for our needs and drive outreach from it?
Attempting to upload data into a String field that contains (<5TB) but it’s getting truncated after the ( Is that because it sees the < as a special character? I tried escaping with a backslash but that didn’t work either. Should I be able to use < in a field?
Hi there - I have the zendesk connector set up and syncing fine - but for reporting I’m only able to build reports using the organisation ID which is numeric field. I added a mapping file using the CSV import function on the Zendesk connector page to map the numeric Zendesk organisation value to a name. It doesn’t appear to have worked. When I go to build a report organisation ID and organisation name are both available, but organisation name has no value attached to it. Can any of you offer any suggestions or tips as to where I might be going wrong? many thanks PS:The input csv looks like this, but with more rows. CompanyId CompanyName ZendeskOrganizationId ZendeskOrganizationName 1P05FR1W5RMAH4QPD0GCBSDVOFFAABBCCDD CORP UK 12345678910111213 CORP UK
We have a field called CSM Engagement Status on the Customer Info object where a CSM selects how engaged they are with a customer. We would like to be able to track how that value changes over time. What would be the best way to capture this? I saw documentation around creating a snapshot object in Gainsight, but was interested in other potential solutions that don’t require a daily snapshot, but only capture when the value changes. **In SFDC we are limited to the number of fields we can track history on, and have maxed out our fields, so this is not an available option.**
Evening. We’ve set up a new dropdown list category in the company object and I’m trying to add it now to the activity types, as a new field. When I go into adding a new field, and the category selector I can’t see the new dropdown list I’ve added. This is using the “Configure for” Global setting. For the “Configure for” Company or Relationship setting I can see the new dropdown list in the category list but can’t edit existing activities.Any clues as to what I’m missing in the setup? Thanks in advance.
I’m trying to get Adoption Explorer setup and working, but so far no luck. One question I have that I cannot seem to find in the documention - what do you do if your Weekly Time Series data has more than one Unique ID? For example, I have a usage data file that contains usage metrics by Company AND Usage Type, so for example if Gainsight were my customer I might have: Company Name ID Date Usage Type TotalGAINSIGHT 33455 11/12/2019 Logins 365GAINSIGHT 33455 11/12/2019 Punches 724GAINSIGHT 33455 11/19/2019 Logins 398GAINSIGHT 33455 11/19/2019 Punches 772 I want to make sure that I’m upserting on the ID, Date and Usage Type. When importing the data via S3 Connector, I have the option of selecting mul
Hello - There are a few customers that we need to create a relationship for in Gainsight that cannot be created with our existing rule. I thought I could create a relationship record manually by adding it to the relationship MDA in Data Operation but that did not work. Is there a way I can create these relationships without running it through a rule?
Hi everyone - Looking for some assistance here. We just integrated CPQ into our Salesforce instance which is fantastic! I’m not looking to pull in our contract/product/subscription product in Gainsight to being reporting, update Customer 360, and update our rules to reflect that data instead of the original data that was held on the account page. I confirmed that these objects all roll up into the account, but I don’t see them in Gainsight as avaliable. I’m sure I’m missing a step, but I’m not sure which one. Any ideas?
I entered a filter to pull last 60 days and get 0 records. So I noticed new filters on table and added a filter there and it doesn't appear to apply. I say to bring everything from 7/1 forward and still see April date directly below as well as other before 7/1. Am I misunderstanding what these are for? Gainsight's Analyzer tool is a powerful tool that all Gainsight Admins should get familiar with. We have thorough documentation on the ever-expanding capabilities Analyzer provides. What I'm here to do is provide three quick tips for common scenarios that can give you a chance to get your feet wet with Gainsight Analyzer. It can be hard to figure this out from just looking in the UI of the Rules Engine. Luckily, the Rule Analyzer makes this easy to find out and also dig deeper into the execution summary if needed.
