Gainsight is delighted to announce that the Data Management Horizon Experience is available. Gainsight recommend using the new version as it’s simplified and has better user experience with the following newly added features:Summary Ribbon: Displays the total number of Standard, Custom, and Low Volume objects, as well as the total data size, on the Data Management homepage. Custom Views: To better organize objects, create custom views that group them into functional groups. Seamless object and dropdown creation flow: While creating objects or dropdowns, you can create, add, or delete fields. Review Changes: When you edit fields information of an object, you can review all the changes made before saving the information. Dependencies: View Object or Object’s fields dependency from all the application areas in a single page with minimal mouse clicks.IMPORTANT:You can access both old and new versions of Data Management in your tenant. Any metadata changes to one version will be reflected i
I had not noticed the Job Chains tab in Connectors 2.0 until recently. I created my first chain with a bunch of Snowflake connector jobs. After adding the jobs to the chain, I went back to the Jobs tab to turn off the schedule for each of the jobs - but the jobs are not on that tab anymore. Can I assume that was intentional so we don’t maintain schedules for these jobs in 2 places? Also - will deleting a job from a job chain move it back to the jobs list (mainly so I can edit it if needed)?I just want to make sure I understand if that is by design so that I can maintain these jobs. Thanks!
Hello Team, I am trying to get the list of Task details and the associated Playbook details. I can do this in SFDC version by fetching the info from JBCXM_PlaybookTasks__c in SFDC Version. But in NXT version I don't see an option to fetch the information I am looking for. Scenario: We are using Gainsight NXT version in our company and we are trying to merge a business who uses Gainsight SFDC Version in to our Gainsight NXT version. So, basically we need to associate all the assets from the Gainsight SFDC Version to the Gainsight NXT version. Now when I try to fetch the list of Tasks and it's associated playbooks in Gainsight NXT Version, I don't see any MDA which holds the Task data.
I need some help with the following:Extracting Educational workflow name, last viewed date, email, first name, last name for 80 engagements across 5 tenantsCurrently, I am in process of setting individual reports up for each tenant based on date criteria. Then i will need to run these 80 plus reports, export the data, scrub the data, concatenate into a single list with a new column for the tenant. This is nuts… to have to do this… I am looking for some help to save my sanity…. :)
Hi All,I am a Product manager for Data management in Gainsight. We are planning to revamp following tabs in Data Management -Dependencies Object GraphCould you pls help in providing with following feedback - What data do you look for / the most common usecases for which you visit Dependencies & Object Graph? How often do you see data on Dependencies & Object Graph? How can we improve your experience for viewing data on Dependencies & Object Graph? What are the pain points you find on Dependencies & Object Graph?Thank youSamarth
Yesterday we had usage data loaded into a custom object twice which has caused inflated usage. I read the article that indicates I can delete data from Data Management if I apply a filter that only shows the data I need to delete but I’m running into an issue where I can filter to the DATE but not to the exact TIME of the duplicate data entries. Has anyone been able to work around this?
We have data that gets updated daily - and sometimes certain usage data is upserted. Is there a way to use two filters for upserting the data in AE vs Global filter.Example: count of a particular telemetry in history can change based on modified date and hence needs to be pulled into GS based on this field. However, the usage metric needs to use a different field (say created date) for timebased usage count. Has anyone encountered or solved a similar criteria? AE doesn’t seem to honor two different fields.
The problem I’d like to solve is getting visibility into Github for our Account Execs (sales people) Some details: Our sales team uses Gainsight Team View in SFDC We are almost done setting up the Gainsight / Zendesk integration The team would really like to see Github tickets open for customers as well We use Github for two things: Engineering escalations from Support Customer Requested Enhancements Has anyone integrated Gainsight with Github?
Hi Party PeopleHas any tried to embed a low volume MDA to the R360? We notice when doing so, the relationship ID does not auto-populate and the user is supposed to copy/paste the Relationship ID from the url of that account. (yuck)This is not the same behavior when the low volume MDA table is embedded in the C360. When embedded in the C360, the Account ID is auto-populated.Is there a trick to this that I am missing. Its very clunky to expect users to copy/paste the RID from the URL, especially when the account ID populates automatically when the low volume MDA is embedded in the C360. Has anyone else experienced this?
The multi-select feature is poorly designed throughout. In rules engine/query builder, we have to build overly convoluted queries to be able to track NULL values and combine them with (OR condition) includes/excludes. It is also extremely difficult to leverage in any reporting considering the things we can or can’t do with it (can’t group by). It’s impossible to write to it without convoluted formulas to not override what’s already there. Everything about this feature is terrible. It needs an overhaul to start making sense and to stop requiring convoluted 20 steps approaches to get anywhere with it.
I have a customer use case where for a set of CSMS, customer want to restrict few CTA types showing up in the dropdown while creating the CTA. Applying data permission on DA picklist is restricting those CTA types at object level but still appearing in the list on CTA creation page. Also, can we restrict one set of CSMs tagging another set of CSMs(CSMs of one region tagging CSMs from other region) in timeline? Is there a way to achieve these? If not is there anything on roadmap which enables this?
SnowFlake Connector (Horizion Experience) - Does Scheduled Job Import All Data or only Last Modified?
Within a SCHEDULED job in the SnowFlake connector, is ALL DATA fetched by default? Or is only data updated since the last job run date fetched?I don’t see anywhere to specify which to retrieve when configuring a SCHEDULED job. That option is only presented if I run a Job On Demand. We’re required to specify the Primary Key and Reference for last modified date when creating the job, so I’m guessing that a scheduled job only fetches modified records, but I’ve not seen this expressly documented one way or another. Thanks!JJ
This is relatively minor but thought I'd point out that GS documentation incorrectly states that Data Spaces is located under Administration -> Analytics, when it appears under Administration -> Operations (at least in my org) https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Data_Management_and_Integrations/Data_Spaces/Data_Space_Creation_and_Consumption https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Data_Management_and_Integrations/Data_Spaces/Tut...
Currently we are allowing users to change data type of a field through COM if there is no data in the object. But this change is happening only in Mongo and not in the redshift table. Because of this, there are lot of errors through out S3 and data load API connectors. I believe that this should either be disabled or handled properly. Once the redshift table is created, we should disable data type conversion even if there is no data. Or when the data type conversion is made through COM, we should automatically create a new column with same name and the required data type, and then delete the older field. Or we should have a flag that shows if there is any mismatch between data types between Mongo and Redshift tables.
I think this just changed with the recent update, but in my Zendesk ticket object in C360 the ticket numbers are no longer URL's. Was this done on purpose? It was very helpful to be able to click on a ticket number that automatically opens the ticket in Zendesk so we could we could update the ticket. Can we get this functionality back? Taking the URL away seems like a step in the wrong direction as far as convenience goes.
The Matrix Data Architecture Export API returns CSV containing unquoted string values, even when the field delimiter is present in the string values. This is a problem because it makes reliably parsing the returned CSV very difficult, and perhaps impossible in some cases. This just isn't good behavior from the perspective of an Export API user/consumer.
We are currently using a Day Agg function to lookup a value in our portal object on SFDC and match that value to the account name. Are the lookups involved in this function case sensitive? I'm finding a lot of the results are being returned as -999 "Account Not Found" even though they do match on everything except for the letter case.
How do you, or can you, add to the below list of options when making an object in MDA? I am looking to add some data to the Email Logs object and to Customer Info, but the mappings are not robust. If you are unable to add to that list, I can just populate with a rule, right?
