New Data Management Beta - fields not refreshing?
I tried to use the new Data Management Beta today - added a few custom fields to a custom object. When I saved it - the schema does not show the new fields I added in the beta. When I switched to the current Data Management UI - the fields I created under beta are showing here. Is there a trick to having the field list refresh in the beta?
Slack notification when activity is added to timeline
Hi there,Gainsight newbie here and slowly getting the hang of things!We use the timeline on the C360 to add risks as an activity type. I was wondering if anyone had any experience in setting up a connection with this in a slack channel? Ideally I would like it so that every time a new risk is added, our account managers can see this in the slack channel, is this possible?I have spoken with GS support on this and sadly I am really struggling to get a clear answer!

Why can't I edit Data Type in a MDA object?
I have just created an object in the MDA Data Management section, based on a .csv. And the system has automatically set-up some default data types, many of them Boolean instead of number, and I've realized that only after the object was created. Now I need to change the type, but I cannot do that. So I have to send a ticket to delete this object and start all over again.
What is the long term strategy/roadmap around dataset creation?
I feel like many posts throughout the community have shown a significant interest in having a ‘query library’ in that you could create datasets in a single location and then reference them throughout the platform. This has been highlighted as a need in Program development, having to create all Queries in Rules Engine for troubleshooting, and then building a second time in Programs (which has since been solved for with execution history but it’s duplicative if an existing Rule is exactly what is needed in a Program). It’s been highlighted as a need within Programs and the ability to duplicate a query as a second participant source within a program. It’s been highlighted as a need for reporting. Data Designer -sort of- solves for this - but it’s not in replacement of, it’s in addition to. And now we have Segments. People Maps Feedback: Rule Scheduling Limitations + "Person" Object Email Requirement
We recently started utilizing People Maps and are super excited about it, though there are a few things I'm hoping to get some feedback/advice on: [list] [*]Delay in updating/adding contacts in Salesforce to create new records in the Person object: [list] [*]Currently, we have a rule set up to pull in new/updated contacts from Salesforce into the Person object [*]We have it running at the highest frequency according to the Rule Scheduling documentation, which is every 2 hours [*]This is fine for most rules, but it becomes problematic when we're trying to update or add contacts into Salesforce so that we can use them immediately in People Maps or to map Timeline entries to a specific contact [*][b]Main ask: [/b]Is there any possibility for rule scheduling to be expanded beyond the current 2 hour limitation? Has anyone set up an integration with a LMS? We use Docebo, so it would be great if anyone else has specifically worked with this tool. However, I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has set up any LMS at all. I’m looking to get some help with the architecture of this integration and curious to see how others have set this up. Trying to load Company Person, getting a blank dialog box (see below)

How do you remove Relationship Person if your source of truth object is salesforce contacts? We have checkboxes on salesforce contacts that indicate relationship. My question is how do other companies maintain this? My concern is having to rely on CSMs to remember to uncheck the boxes on contact when they have a contact leave.
SFDC Connector 2.0 Versus Rules Engine for Loading Accounts
We are looking into moving away from Gainsight Connect as it is pulling non-customer and inactive accounts into our Company object. Is there an advantage to using SFDC Connector 2.0 versus creating a rule to populate the object? Also, we found in the SFDC Edition documentation that if any data which was previously inserted into Gainsight from Salesforce, is modified in Salesforce, corresponding data in Gainsight NXT is updated. Is anyone using the SFDC Edition and can confirm SFDC record changes are pushed into Gainsight or if NXT is indeed required? Thanks.
When adding a milestone, the drop-down year field only goes back to 2015. In order to add a date prior to 2015, we must select 'January' from the month field, '2015' from the year field and then press the arrow to the left of the month in order to get the previous year. The drop-down year column does not immediately update accordingly. When scanning a rule from Gainsight Analyzer, the results show that "The filter "Apply to Gainsight customer" is missing." But examining the Rule Query shows that the box for "Apply to Gainsight customers only" is checked.
Error message *Unable to process the request*
Hello All, One of our Customer Success managers reported the attached error message when viewing an IC/Relationship record in Gainsight production. I’m not aware of what this error is referring to, seems pretty vague to me, so I was wondering if you can help me figure this out. Square Brackets in URL Field
Can anyone confirm if square brackets are allowable in a URL field? I am trying to load data via a rule into a URL field and it is failing with the message “Invalid URL at row number x”I suspect this is because the URL contains square brackets and this is often not allowable unless encoded behind the scenes.
Boolean SFDC Mapping to MDA
Hello, please forgive me if this is a silly question, but in attempting to sync a boolean field from SFDC into MDA Company table, and creating a new field name in Data Management, there is no SFDC sync option for a boolean type field. The subsequent sync in Connectors 2.0 is failing. What would be the reason to not allow SFDC mapping for boolean field types?
Data Analyzer - seeing filter not working on front page of analysis
I entered a filter to pull last 60 days and get 0 records. So I noticed new filters on table and added a filter there and it doesn't appear to apply. I say to bring everything from 7/1 forward and still see April date directly below as well as other before 7/1. Am I misunderstanding what these are for? Sending Slack notifications for S3 ingest jobs
Has anyone managed to successfully set up an S3 ingest job so that it notifies you via Slack when it completes? I've been trying to set it up on the Schedule page of the Ingest Job and have tried several variations (With headers, without headers, with HTTPS, with HTTP, etc.) but always end up with the "Test Failed. Please check the URL." message. I have Slack notifications set up just fine in my other systems, so I know the URL is correct. Best Practice for conact versus person
We are new to GS and just went live last week. Any recommendations on best practices on synching Contacts/persons between SF/Gainsight.When a person/contact is missing is it best to just have that contact record created in SF and have it push over to GS or go ahead and create the person in GS and write a rule to write back to SF. Is there benefit to one way or another?
