Is anyone familiar with the Salesforce Platform Events framework? I requested new Apex triggers in SF from our Salesforce Developers and they pushed back and would like to switch to using Platform Events which I have very little understanding of but I assume Gainsight would still be able to interact with it the same way it would with an Apex trigger. If anyone has experience using Platform Events and knows it works fine or can point to some documentation would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
The multi-select feature is poorly designed throughout. In rules engine/query builder, we have to build overly convoluted queries to be able to track NULL values and combine them with (OR condition) includes/excludes. It is also extremely difficult to leverage in any reporting considering the things we can or can’t do with it (can’t group by). It’s impossible to write to it without convoluted formulas to not override what’s already there. Everything about this feature is terrible. It needs an overhaul to start making sense and to stop requiring convoluted 20 steps approaches to get anywhere with it.
We mainly use the Salesforce connector to ingest new Company records, however, we have a new subsidiary that is not yet in Salesforce, so I need to add via CSV. In #3, when IO click Add Record, there is no option to Upload CSV File.Navigate to Administration > Data Management. Click the name of the required object and click the Data tab. Click Add Record and select Upload CSV file. In case of high volume custom objects, click Add Record via CSV. In the Add Record via CSV file slide-out panel, you can either drag and drop the file, or click browse to select the required file from your computer. The maximum permissible file size is 1 MB. Note: Gainsight recommends that you first download the Sample CSV f
We are looking to extract all survey responses via the API and use them to drive decisions in our platform and help feed our ML models. Does anyone know of a way to make a request to get them all? Or maybe a way to get a list of all of the flattened object and then cycle through each one to get its responses?
Apologies if this lives elsewhere, I couldn’t find a straight answer. In what release can we expect the updates to the CS <> Insided integration? We are going live soon with Insided and was looking to see if it is worth just waiting for the new integration or setting it up as is currently.
Our CSM’s are providing feedback that while updating meeting notes (for example in an Event Type CTA), the information is not auto saving, which sometimes leads to data loss. This happens for example when editing multiple fields on the CTA, and clicking save on one field. All changes made to another field (could be rich text or text) are lost. Additionally there is no option for Command Z, to undo.
I am having sissues setting my Amazon S3 Bucket - I followed the inttial set up step correctly (multiple times) but I keep getting failed messag when clicking “connect”: I was able to connect in the past, using my old laptop with out any problems, but now that iam tryign to set up the cyberduck connection on my new windows device, I get the below error. Has nyone experienced this before? what is a good laternative to Cyberduck? Has anyone used GoAnywhere MFT to laod to S3?
Are there plans to provide additional out of the box integrations or third party development of integrations? When I think of most any other SaaS product I use, they all have app stores with 10s of 100s of integrations (Salesforce AppExchange, ServiceNow, Splunk, even more nascent services like Clickup, Pendo, etc). With just over a dozen currently, I feel like there is a big lack of native integrations and I’m curious if this is on the radar at all to improve this area?
Dependent Dropdown is very important feature which gives ability to onboard more and more teams in enterprises. Currently it is implemented for only certain objects and user management object is not one of them. Can you please confirm if Dependent Dropdown is in pipeline for implementation for GSNxt for better experience for users
I’m sure others will run into this issue, so I figured I would put it out in the universe: When you use the x-org tool to migrate data design(s), you need to run said data design(s) in the target org before you can successfully migrate any of the assets (rules, reports, etc.) that use that data design(s) as a source object. Sounds obvious, but it tripped me up for a little while.
Hello, Recently, I have an issue in Gainsight Connector 2.0 “ Salesforce Connector” in which we got to see a Partial Sucess result 1 account Failed. And the reason for that is .inc extension is not supported in Gainsight Connectors. Is there any way other than .com & .org we can support the other extensions in Gainsight. Because it is impacting the current & future customers for our organization.
Is it possible to add Tags as a mass? The use case is, that we want to put customers to certain baskets (based on their release waves as an example) and adding a tag one by one is time consuming, as each of the accounts needs to be opened into the Edit-mode.Am I over-looking some easy trick to do this?
Hello! Wondering if anyone can advise me here. I’d like to track and correlate activities in Gainsight to the contract active at that time on the account. Basically how does our CS work (realizing/verifying outcomes, doing QBRs, completing projects, etc) drive the result of the contract? Upsell, downsell, churn, etc.My initial idea was to add an “active contract” field to the company object (done), and then hopefully find a way to copy that value (not reference to it as it is dynamic) to the record in question. My GS experience isn’t extensive, so I am still trying to understand the Object schema and how they relate to each other, so couple of questions:Am I looking at this the right way from a logic perspective? Is there a built-in feature that would allow us to do this already? Like Journey orchestrator, or milestones? If not, would it be best to pull that to a CTA? I do care about calls, emails, etc. but primarily, I care about high value work (or lack thereof) and how that impacts
I apolgise if this is a silly question. I am new to learning the inner workings of gainsight so everyday is a school day.I know where to go to see what data comes from Salesforce (Connectors) but is it the same place to see what fields are updated FROM Gainsight TO Salesforce? How do know which fields are drive one way or both ways? What I want to achieve - we had a contractor help us so they did all this work setting up, but now its not working as it used to. A field (PM) is a two way sync, so if I want to change a PM on a client I have to ask SalesForce to be updated and not just update Gainsight as its a two way sync, it tries to update from GS to SF but then updates first from SF to GS which put the original person in that field. How can I change that sync? Where in GS is that functionality Connectors // Rules Engine? Thanks
So I have been getting quite a few requests in the past month or so regarding how to setup and maintain a Gainsight NXT sandbox and I have noticed that the associated documentation is rather lacking. One thing that isn’t discussed at all is that you do NOT have to refresh the gainsight sandbox if you do a SFDC refresh. If you have a bunch of assets in your current Gainsight sandbox tenant I suggest performing a “tenant repoint” where you refresh your SFDC sandbox and then log into your NXT sandbox tenant and simply reauthorize the SFDC connection (it will connect to the newly refreshed org id). Anyway, here’s a rough draft of accumulated best practices hopefully they’re helpful:Hit “Add Sandbox” --> this kicks off a Prod -> SB tenant copy Whoever kicks off this job will be the only user who can directly access the new NXT SB tenant initially Once you access the SB tenant directly, you need to go into Administration/Connectors 2.0/ Salesforce Connector and edit the connection det
