Unable to add/update standard USER object (GsUser) using API which was working earlier
Hi,I was able to add / update standard USER object using API calls few weeks back but now it is throwing errors.APIs:POST - ADD API - https://domainname/v1/data/objects/GsUserPUT - UPDATE API - https://domainname/v1/data/objects/GsUser?keys=EmailError:"errorCode": "GSOBJ_1056","errorDesc": "Wrong api called, Transactional Data Load not supported for this object. Please check Gainsight Documentation." Can you please advise why this is happening now ? Also what is alternate way to “INSERT, UPDATE” GsUser object using Rules or API ? Thanks,Lidwin
Woopra usage data in GS
We have Woopra tracking usage data, and are looking for the best way to pull that data into Gainsight for usage & reporting. Woopra has a webhook feature that allows us to run an HTTP POST anytime a user performs a specific action on our platform. Should we use webhooks to post to our S3? Should I post to our Matrix Data?
Company Person Merge Duplication
Our back office team merged a bunch of SFDC accounts. Contacts etc have been merged into the “master” accounts and those details brought into Gainsight under the master record. However, we still have all of these duplicate accounts I am trying to merge into the new “master” in Gainsight. As a part of the merge process, the system requires that you check the box for merge company person data. The issue, is that since SFDC already pulled in the merged data, merging in Gainsight seems to me duplicating the old company person records under the master - even though they were already brought in through the merge in SFDC and subsequent push to Gainsight.Is there a way around this? Do I really have to choose between losing customer information in Gainsight (not merging in GS) and duplicating a ton of company person records (merging in GS)?
Is there a way to include more than 10 fields in the GS widget in Zendesk?
Hi all, we’re using UI Views > Customer 360 to edit what’s available to our support team using the Gainsight widget in Zendesk. They need to be able to see more than 10 fields as appears to be the current limit. Are there any workarounds or custom configurations for this?
Create formula to have result = null
Hello - We have a metric that we track regarding logins, and we want it to show as blank or null if there are no active users yet because technically they could have a 0% login rate with active users which is different than 0% with no active users. I’m trying to create a calculated field on the company object. I’ve tried many different versions. All so far will show 0% even when there are no active users. I’ve tried =null, is not null, =0, ... case when Active_Users is null then null else Unique_Login / Active_Users end Thanks
Triggering a Qualtrics survey via Gainsight?
Hi All, I am looking at a way to integrate Gainsight and Qualtrics. I know there is no connection today and I understand Gainsight has a survey tool. Unfortunately, our company has decided the only surveys sent from our org will be from Qualtrics. CSMs want to trigger a survey based on an action or CTA within Gainsight and pass basic contact information. My question for all of you folks is has anyone done much with the Gainsight API? Does this sound like something that can be done? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions. And we cannot switch surveys to Gainsight :) Thanks,Mike
Can you write data from the "Usage Data" object back to an MDA table for calculations?
We need to perform simple calculations ((X + Y * Z) * 100) on data that is stored in the Usage Data object. We've been able to use calculated fields in the rules engine to write short-term and long-term moving averages back to the Usage Data object, but no matter what we try we cannot write those same values to an MDA table (where we need it to perform additional calculations on). Is there some limitation we need to be aware of, and more importantly a way to do what we need?
Database schema with primary and secondary keys to build external to Gainsight product universe for reporting
Greetings Gainsight Community, I am looking for a database schema with primary and secondary keys. I need this to be able to build from the 18 or 19 exported Gainsight tables. I am building a product universe for reporting and increased dashboarding with other company data outside of the Gainsight environment. Thanks for reviewing my post. Hi There, Is there a way to move data from Gainsight into either a Google Sheet or Excel? I'm imagining something like what G-Connector does in Google Sheets where it automatically updates Google Sheets based off of a report in SFDC
ZenDesk Assignee not showing up in Gainsight Reporting options
I am exploring the linkage possible between ZenDesk and Gainsight and I can't find the "Assignee" field in the report creation section of Gainsight. Am I missing something or could the answer be that the Assignee field isn't being synced properly? If the latter is true, how do I go about resolving that issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Does anyone use Gainsight and Pardot?
Our company recently purchased Pardot and I was wondering if anyone uses it in combination with Gainsight. Ideally we would like to be able to fire CTAs based on logic in Pardot once we get up and running but I do not know if it is possible especially if the end user might not have a Pardot license.

Customer's SFDC Production is undergoing some changes and once the work with respect to that is completed, their SFDC production will be exactly same as their SFDC Sandbox now. S3 execution history is sorting as if it is a number, not appreciating time
Looks like in a recent update, the sort of the schedule time in S3 execution history treats time as a number not as a time. This example shows that it is sorting 1PM before 10AM on the same day. Is it possible to have a GS account without a Salesforce account and still fire CTAs?
Is there a way to track a Gainsight account to Salesforce account that is linked to a different Salesforce account. Or - is there a better way to get around this situation? We need to figure a way to have the new brand have its own GS account and fire CTAs even though there is no Salesforce account Company A is the parent account of multiple brands we work with: Company A, Company B, Company C and now Company D. The Comany A account in Salesforce used to represent Company A only, and separately to this, we had a Salesforce account for Company B, and a Salesforce account for Company C. This worked well with Gainsight, where they each had their ARR, their CTAs, and their usage and so on. We have now brought a new brand on board: Company D. They signed on the same paper as the other brands and were therefore merged to the Company A account in Salesforce, instead of having their own separate account. This is causing issues for CS, as Company, a brand new customer, don't have their o
Assign a CTA to CSM when Using MDA Table
I have MDA table to store usage data. I'm doing some calculations based on this table and when I see a drop in one of the usage elements I want to create a CTA and assign it to the CSM of the account. I did a join between the MDA to the Account object but when joining the tables the CSM field is not a lookup anymore and I can't use it to assign the CTA. Does anyone know a workaround for this problem? Thanks, Aviv.
Is there a way to create a Salesforce Case from a CTA?
Our CSM group is implementing a new contact center software that integrates with Salesforce. This integration will work heavily in cases. Our management is looking for ways for our CSM team to track all interaction and work in both Gainsight and SFDC. What we would like to know is if there is a way to take our automated CTA’s that are triggered off of our scorecard and have those create a case in Salesforce as well as the tracked activity in Gainsight? date format when uploading data to an MDA object
I've finally understood exactly how to upload data using the S3 connector to and MDA object. however, I was quite surprised when I was troubleshooting and searching the gainsight support site that formats starting with day (dd/MM/yyyy or dd-MM-yyyy) are not at all supported. this becomes incredibly annoying for me and our CSMs since we're based in Europe and most of our data in Salesforce uses this formatting instead of the classic American MM/dd/yyyy. It would be very nice and much more manageable if we could have this format supported. Thank you
What are common processes sponsor tracking is used for?
My organization is wanting to implement sponsor tracking. I understand that sponsor tracking allows us to receive notifications, CTAs, and create reports on activities of these sponsors, such as moving roles or companies, but what other ways can we utilize sponsor tracking? For example, will sponsor tracking integrate with the new org. chart feature? Are there other ways your company is using sponsor tracking?
