We are beginning to move over our Account Master Join table to the Company (standard) table that can be populated by Gainsight Connect. We were wondering if there are any plans to add a Contact standard table to the list, so that we can align our contact records in Gainsight without using a rule to populate our custom Contact MDA.
MDA Time Zones The MDA manages time in UTC, meaning that datetime values do not work with reporting logic in Gainsight. Example: Customer has a filter set to "today" on a dashboard...at 5p PST all their dashboards go blank and start looking at "tomorrow" because the logic is based in UTC, and no data exists yet for tomorrow in their daily data. It would be best to follow timezone logic set in the SFDC org, second best would be to have the customer set it (similar to the rules engine), third would be a manual set per tenant by the Gainsight team during installation.
When setting up a Google Analytics integration, you pull in a field from Google Analytics that indicates the customer. In our case, it's called "abbreviation". Screenshot: http://cl.ly/1X1J1Y1S2h08 You then indicate which Salesforce Account field corresponds to that Google Analytics field. In our case, it's called "Account Number". Screenshot: http://cl.ly/3g272c0O1T0f Unfortunately, when Gainsight aggregates the raw data into the "Day Agg" table, it performs a [i]case-sensitive match between our "abbreviation" and "Account Number". Some Accounts, therefore, have ended up without any aggregated Google Analytics data. I didn't realize that behavior when we were setting it up (it's not noted in the documentation http://cl.ly/0x0F2u2q3E3H, and I did this setup live with our Project Manager, who either didn't know or think to mention it), and n
We are currently receiving some of our data on a weekly basis that is summarized due to the size/amount of data that would be included if we received it on a daily basis. However, there would be a lot of benefit to having it on a daily basis as we would be able to more proactively engage with our customers. Is there a volume restriction on what can be loaded into the MDA?
There is very little control the end-user has over how Scorecard Measures are created and display on the Usage Data object. For example, we can't control through the Admin UI if a Scorecard Measure is available for display in the Usage Graph or change any of it's field names after it's created. It's particularly troublesome if a Scorecard Measure name is similar to the name of an actual Usage Measure. There's no way to distinguish between the two in the Rules Engine and it is a common pitfall.
We have Woopra tracking usage data, and are looking for the best way to pull that data into Gainsight for usage & reporting. Woopra has a webhook feature that allows us to run an HTTP POST anytime a user performs a specific action on our platform. https://www.woopra.com/docs/manual/creating-triggers/#Option_3_Webhook_Configuration My question is, what would be the best way to get this data into Gainsight? Should we use webhooks to post to our S3? Should I post to our Matrix Data?
We are currently using a Day Agg function to lookup a value in our portal object on SFDC and match that value to the account name. Are the lookups involved in this function case sensitive? I'm finding a lot of the results are being returned as -999 "Account Not Found" even though they do match on everything except for the letter case.
I am trying to find a way to readjust how the usage graph's Y axis is set. It seems to change automatically change the default Y axis values depending on the usage it finds but it typically does not represent the data very well. Is there a way to change this?
I will be attending Pulse Conference (May 9 - 11) representing Gainsight's Product team.i would l like to meet you all during the conference discuss Gainsight & gather your feedback, please reach out to me directly at email@example.com to schedule a meeting.
Our company recently purchased Pardot and I was wondering if anyone uses it in combination with Gainsight. Ideally we would like to be able to fire CTAs based on logic in Pardot once we get up and running but I do not know if it is possible especially if the end user might not have a Pardot license.
We need to perform simple calculations ((X + Y * Z) * 100) on data that is stored in the Usage Data object. We've been able to use calculated fields in the rules engine to write short-term and long-term moving averages back to the Usage Data object, but no matter what we try we cannot write those same values to an MDA table (where we need it to perform additional calculations on). Is there some limitation we need to be aware of, and more importantly a way to do what we need?
I have just created an object in the MDA Data Management section, based on a .csv. And the system has automatically set-up some default data types, many of them Boolean instead of number, and I've realized that only after the object was created. Now I need to change the type, but I cannot do that. So I have to send a ticket to delete this object and start all over again.
While creating calculated fields in MDA object. Complete field names are not displayed we need to hover on the field to know the value. The fields are also not displayed in a sorted order. If i have many number fields then creating a calculated field becomes a time taking task
We are currently able to access different reports/pivot tables in Excel that are connected directly to our data warehouse allowing us to simply 'refresh' as needed. Being able to replicate this same functionality within Gainsight would allow us to create the rules and reports that are more easily 'real time' indicators of customer behaviors. Is something like this on the roadmap or is a capability today?
Anyone else seeing this error message? Error message manifests within Zendesk on the Gainsight App. For one reason or another just today, the Gainsight App stopped working in our instance of Zendesk. Causing headaches since we are just ramping up and cannot link accounts in an adhoc fashion. When adding a milestone, the drop-down year field only goes back to 2015. In order to add a date prior to 2015, we must select 'January' from the month field, '2015' from the year field and then press the arrow to the left of the month in order to get the previous year. The drop-down year column does not immediately update accordingly. When I exit the milestone creation and go back in, I can see the last year that I navigated to via the arrow. However, the cached years do not stay accessible for the customer when exiting and returning to the C360 screen nor are the years available for any other customer. So in essence, in essence, we'll need to finagle the year list each time we add a milestone. While
I'm trying to pull a report of customers and their responses to a specific customer. I'm using Data Spaces and the Survey Allowed Answers object. I'm able to add in the information I want, but when I go to report on it, the fields I need info from (account object fields) are showing up as not having any. Any one else having issues with this? Currently we are allowing users to change data type of a field through COM if there is no data in the object. But this change is happening only in Mongo and not in the redshift table. Because of this, there are lot of errors through out S3 and data load API connectors. I believe that this should either be disabled or handled properly. Once the redshift table is created, we should disable data type conversion even if there is no data. Or when the data type conversion is made through COM, we should automatically create a new column with same name and the required data type, and then delete the older field. Or we should have a flag that shows if there is any mismatch between data types between Mongo and Redshift tables.
I have created a new table to store a file with some daily usage data, and I would like for the file to be uploaded automatically to this table. When Gainsight was implemented in my company a cURL was given to the Product Analytics department to be able upload data automatically into MDA. But now I don't know where the cURL is. Has something changed? This is relatively minor but thought I'd point out that GS documentation incorrectly states that Data Spaces is located under Administration -> Analytics, when it appears under Administration -> Operations (at least in my org) https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Data_Management_and_Integrations/Data_Spaces/Data_Space_Creation_and_Consumption https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Data_Management_and_Integrations/Data_Spaces/Tut...
