I was eager to try out the calculated field/formula feature in MDA that was just released, but for some reason when I create a Number field on an object in my sandbox, the Calculated Field appears but it is not selectable and I cannot click Create Formula. Anyone else encounter this or just me?
SnowFlake Connector (Horizion Experience) - Does Scheduled Job Import All Data or only Last Modified?
Within a SCHEDULED job in the SnowFlake connector, is ALL DATA fetched by default? Or is only data updated since the last job run date fetched?I don’t see anywhere to specify which to retrieve when configuring a SCHEDULED job.That option is only presented if I run a Job On Demand. We’re required to specify the Primary Key and Reference for last modified date when creating the job, so I’m guessing that a scheduled job only fetches modified records, but I’ve not seen this expressly documented one way or another. Hi Team, One of our customer is looking to use Use "OR" instead of "AND" when selecting key fields to identify unique records in connector 1.0 jobs. Current Behaviour: When setting up an Ingest Job, we have two Unique Identifiers from two different systems. Currently it is erroring out when one or the other is missing. Expectation: Create the Gainsight record with either Unique ID’s. Please see below for which key fields we have selected to identify unique records. Interested to know (after talking with some data engineers getting ready to push data to a connected S3 bucket): Does Gainsight have plans to add some common file compression/decompression options? In this case, allowing an encrypted GZIP file to be uncompressed after decrypting? Just passing the question/suggestion from a newer Gainsight customer that I couldn't answer - thanks!
I am trying to reload some usage data for our product into an object located in the [b]Data Management[/b] [b]section[/b] (the data loaded before had errors), and then I am running the aggregation step from the [b]Integration section[/b]. But I have noticed really big differences in the time it takes for the integration to end, although I have a similar number of lines that are aggregated. It can take from several minutes to several hours, and I don't understand why. It's really hindering my work, because I don't know what I can count on.
I love GS Analyzer so much. Could we enlarge the reports on all the Config Home drilldowns so that you can see more records without having to scroll as much? There's a lot of white space there. In Data Management HA everything requires more clicks. Searching for objects and fields within an object is now behind filters. Some default filters are propped in the banner, but not all. It is so much easier to search for objects and fields in the non HA version with inline search for all data attributes. In addition, data editability and schema editability are not even attributes you can see about a field or object in the new version. In the new version, how do you find what actions are allowed on a particular field? At a glance, how do you know if you can delete a field or which fields are editable in an object? Finding dependencies is really difficult in the new version. In the old version, I can start typing a field name and possible results will appear. In the new version you have to type the exact field name to get results. I wish there is an option to permanently disable the banner. Edit object/fields are displayed even for system objects where nothing can be edited or deleted
I just came across an odd situation. I was loading some data into MDA ([url=https://community.gainsight.com/gainsight/topics/a-date-axis-should-show-all-marks-not-just-those-when-data-exists]creating zeros so the time series charts look right[/url]) and selected "first day of last week" as the date value. When I checked the file, the "first day of last week" according to the rules engine was 2/27/16, which is right because my Time Granularity under Usage Configuration is set so the week starts on Saturday. (Why Saturday? No idea... That's just what we did back when! :-) But when I group the data by week in the MDA report I get the week starting on 2/29/16. It's easy enough to fix in this use case, but it could through some people off so I thought it'd be worth highlighting.
When reviewing our rule execution & Audit section in Gainsight Analyzer, as an Admin I am quickly trying to provide an update on our processing time but the "meter" indicator is Zero while the report metrics are present. Is this something possibly introduced with the recent release? We can still use the value from the chart, but wanted to let you know that (for at least my instance) this is no longer working as expected. I was hoping to post a screen shot of the "zero" green, yellow, red indicator but it seems I am not allowed to upload picture or they are being rejected.

We are currently receiving some of our data on a weekly basis that is summarized due to the size/amount of data that would be included if we received it on a daily basis. However, there would be a lot of benefit to having it on a daily basis as we would be able to more proactively engage with our customers. Is there a volume restriction on what can be loaded into the MDA?

When i ́m creating a job i have two options of separator: Comma and semicolon, but i can only fetch the mappings with a CSV file using comma. Idea. Change the Quick Filter (Search) Section in the S3 Connector to Default to Contains, rather than Equals.
In other areas when you're doing a quick search using the area in the red box (in the image), it defaults to a 'Contains' search. But in the S3 it defaults to an 'Equals' search. Is it possible to change this search to a 'Contains' to match the other areas? We are beginning to move over our Account Master Join table to the Company (standard) table that can be populated by Gainsight Connect. We were wondering if there are any plans to add a Contact standard table to the list, so that we can align our contact records in Gainsight without using a rule to populate our custom Contact MDA.

I've traced the issue in the above link to a missing/inactive/broken data ingest. We're not updating our Opportunity Close Date with the close date from the newest/future open opportunity. Before I dive into adding this ingest, is it possible to see when this specific field was last ingested into Gainsight (i.e. when the Opportunity Close Date cell in the MDA for, example, client "Company X" was last updated)? Hello Gainsight Community,We are building a universe (business intelligence/business objects) from the export of the Gainsight AWS bucket files as per the Gainsight AWS specification online.I seek your knowledge on the architectural design of the universe. The simple joins by account id, identifier id, as well as also in master data engagement id and master data feature id… is not enough.That design gets us one path to list the account, user, ..engagements, or list the features, or list the external events for a product.In one universe, I am looking for pulling all tenant, all product, engagements, features, events, surveys, etc. into one business objects report. Or even if I go into Power BI, the same thing. or even if I go into Access. Has anyone combined data in one universe, etc. to allow overall reporting of Gainsight data for the company?Thanks for your help.Janine
Hi all - hoping to get some ideas on how to best automate / streamline license management.Currently, our User sync (via the Integration) is setup to ingest any SFDC users where Active = TRUE.However, we don’t have a mechanism for detecting and disassociating GS licenses when a User becomes inactive in SFDC. Wondering how people have set this up.Thanks!
Hi,I have made a report using data designer and need to add global filter to the dashboard it is being added to.Though I have fetched the fields on which i need filter and that too of the same data type as that of the reference field mapped to but still i am not able to see my field while mapping in global filter for that report.Any one has idea about it how to solve this thing
I have created a new table to store a file with some daily usage data, and I would like for the file to be uploaded automatically to this table. When Gainsight was implemented in my company a cURL was given to the Product Analytics department to be able upload data automatically into MDA. But now I don't know where the cURL is. Has something changed?
