Hello all! I am racking my brain and struggling to create a new value for customer ACV based on open renewal opporutinities. I have created the custom field in the customer info object and I started creating the rule but I am really struggling with the rule logic when it comes to the formula. Does anyone have examples or documentation on how you performed this?
How do you, or can you, add to the below list of options when making an object in MDA? I am looking to add some data to the Email Logs object and to Customer Info, but the mappings are not robust. If you are unable to add to that list, I can just populate with a rule, right? Evening. We’ve set up a new dropdown list category in the company object and I’m trying to add it now to the activity types, as a new field. When I go into adding a new field, and the category selector I can’t see the new dropdown list I’ve added. This is using the “Configure for” Global setting. For the “Configure for” Company or Relationship setting I can see the new dropdown list in the category list but can’t edit existing activities.Any clues as to what I’m missing in the setup? Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to have one file in a S3 bucket be sent to a both the MDA and trigger a S3 rule? I want the dataset to be imported and cause an action within the platform but i also want to store the dataset in a Gainsight Data Object. What’s the best way to do this? Have the S3 rule get triggered once the file lands in the S3 bucket and then export it back out to the same S3 bucket with a different filename where it then can be imported into the MDA?
Hi! We are exploring using the Relationship Contact object to drive outreach for our contacts instead of relying on messy Salesforce data. I am struggling to find where I can even edit the fields on this object as I do not see it in Data Management. There is an object for Relationship Person but not for Relationship Contact. I would like to be able to customize the Role field to be a dropdown rather than a text string. Is there a way I can customize the fields on this object to make it work for our needs and drive outreach from it?
Hi there - I have the zendesk connector set up and syncing fine - but for reporting I’m only able to build reports using the organisation ID which is numeric field. I added a mapping file using the CSV import function on the Zendesk connector page to map the numeric Zendesk organisation value to a name. It doesn’t appear to have worked. When I go to build a report organisation ID and organisation name are both available, but organisation name has no value attached to it. Can any of you offer any suggestions or tips as to where I might be going wrong? many thanks PS:The input csv looks like this, but with more rows. CompanyId CompanyName ZendeskOrganizationId ZendeskOrganizationName 1P05FR1W5RMAH4QPD0GCBSDVOFFAABBCCDD CORP UK 12345678910111213 CORP UK
We have a field called CSM Engagement Status on the Customer Info object where a CSM selects how engaged they are with a customer. We would like to be able to track how that value changes over time. What would be the best way to capture this? I saw documentation around creating a snapshot object in Gainsight, but was interested in other potential solutions that don’t require a daily snapshot, but only capture when the value changes. **In SFDC we are limited to the number of fields we can track history on, and have maxed out our fields, so this is not an available option.**
I’m trying to get Adoption Explorer setup and working, but so far no luck. One question I have that I cannot seem to find in the documention - what do you do if your Weekly Time Series data has more than one Unique ID? For example, I have a usage data file that contains usage metrics by Company AND Usage Type, so for example if Gainsight were my customer I might have: Company Name ID Date Usage Type TotalGAINSIGHT 33455 11/12/2019 Logins 365GAINSIGHT 33455 11/12/2019 Punches 724GAINSIGHT 33455 11/19/2019 Logins 398GAINSIGHT 33455 11/19/2019 Punches 772 I want to make sure that I’m upserting on the ID, Date and Usage Type. When importing the data via S3 Connector, I have the option of selecting mul
Hello - There are a few customers that we need to create a relationship for in Gainsight that cannot be created with our existing rule. I thought I could create a relationship record manually by adding it to the relationship MDA in Data Operation but that did not work. Is there a way I can create these relationships without running it through a rule?
Hi everyone - Looking for some assistance here. We just integrated CPQ into our Salesforce instance which is fantastic! I’m not looking to pull in our contract/product/subscription product in Gainsight to being reporting, update Customer 360, and update our rules to reflect that data instead of the original data that was held on the account page. I confirmed that these objects all roll up into the account, but I don’t see them in Gainsight as avaliable. I’m sure I’m missing a step, but I’m not sure which one. Any ideas?
I entered a filter to pull last 60 days and get 0 records. So I noticed new filters on table and added a filter there and it doesn't appear to apply. I say to bring everything from 7/1 forward and still see April date directly below as well as other before 7/1. Am I misunderstanding what these are for? Gainsight's Analyzer tool is a powerful tool that all Gainsight Admins should get familiar with. We have thorough documentation on the ever-expanding capabilities Analyzer provides. What I'm here to do is provide three quick tips for common scenarios that can give you a chance to get your feet wet with Gainsight Analyzer. It can be hard to figure this out from just looking in the UI of the Rules Engine. Luckily, the Rule Analyzer makes this easy to find out and also dig deeper into the execution summary if needed. Hi! I'm trying to get a project setup with Adoption Explorer tool but have some questions/confusion on the process. First, if we already have usage data from our platform stored in the MDA, what does adoption explorer offer? Is it a more powerful reporting tool with better insights? Reading throught the overview article, it doesn't seem to be much different than reports I've already built out. Secondly, regarding the creation of the project - we have an S3 connection to our platform usage, which is stored in custom MDA tables. Should I be using the S3 bucket as the source or the MDA tables? The biggest issue it seems for this setup is that an 'Account ID' is not provided in the usage datafeed and I have to load that from Salesforce into the MDA which is required by the project setup. Can I get some tips/tricks or recommendations on how to best set up Adoption Explorer? Thanks!
Our product management team is hosting a webinar to introduce the new Adoption Explorer feature that's included in the CS application. Adoption Explorer helps manage your customer’s usage data in the Gainsight environment, and quickly surface the most relevant view of usage data across your customer base. Adoption Explorer offers powerful segmentation capabilities to manage multiple product lines, more robust control of aggregations and calculations, and totally re-imagined visualizations to surface deep insights. Customer’s usage data at Company and/or Person level can be stored at both daily and weekly level along with their entitlements. Using the ingested data, admins can define new derived fields without the need of Rules Engine. This 11-minute video provides an overview of Adoption Explorer. The video focuses on how to configure a project in Adoption Explorer, and how to enable it on C360. Does anyone else get this error in trying to connect S3 to Cyberduck and know how to connect properly? I've been able to connect previously but more recently i get this error. It happens on and off. I've restarted my computer, internet etc..
During our initial implementation we created a usage table that's populated via an S3 ingest job. We recently added a phase 2 for metrics to include in the existing table, which are new columns that have been added to the table. Future data files will map to the new columns, but we are looking to backfill historical data for the new columns. In order to backfill historical data for the new metrics, I wanted to check if there is a best way to do this that keeps the existing metrics as is and only updates the new columns with the historical data. My initial thinking is to create an S3 ingest rule that uses Date and SFDC ID as the unique identifiers, and only map the columns I want to upsert, leaving all other columns I want unchanged as "None." Would this be the best way to accomplish this?
We were previously able to upload our contacts in a CSV with custom fields and bulk upload changes via S3 to the contacts object on the Gainsight SFDC standalone enivronment. Since migrating to the NXT platform, Support confirmed that there is no ability to bulk upload changes to contacts in Company Person and therefore manually applying the changes via the UI with specific data changes is extremely cumbersome. Refer to #82945 for more details. Can we please raise an enhancement to this problem?
I love GS Analyzer so much. Could we enlarge the reports on all the Config Home drilldowns so that you can see more records without having to scroll as much? There's a lot of white space there. Thank you! Example - Rules Analyzer; Bionic - Active:
Currently, you can only view SalesForce and Gainsight Data within the "Engagement Tab" and "Usage Section" of c360. We would like to marry this data to our MDA Data. For example, we would like to see if certain CTAs close, does this raise our product adoption. Currently, the Engagement Tab and Usage chicklet in 360 provide little value with our use case.
