The Gainsight Analyzer is a new tool for Admins that scans your instance for configuration errors and inefficiencies, and helps you optimize your org's performance! There are analyzers for reports, scorecards, rules, objects, and ingest jobs, and we're building more! Watch this 30-min. I think I just discovered either a bug or something that at the very least needs to be made much clearer than it currently is. A customer of mine changed the configuration of one of their S3 jobs, which led to us removing two of the three identifiers in the upsert configuration. The issue is that removing those two upsert identifiers also caused those two fields to be unmapped in the field mapping, even though we are still mapping those two fields in the job. This caused the job to fail and for us to troubleshoot and figure out the root cause. Seems odd to automatically unmap those fields in this scenario.
Customers are confused by the wording of the tooltip below and the difference between Import Now and Import From Date: This support article provides more info on the two options.
A customer of mine had out of sync data in their company object for the CSM field. After barking up multiple wrong trees, I uncovered that there are some values in ANOTHER Account picklist field that do not exist in the corresponding MDA dropdown picklist. GS connect does not do partial sync for fields that are fine. It is either a complete sync or a fail. It also shows GS connect was successful unless I do historical runs, btw. If I have out of sync data in Company, this design creates multiple points of failures to debug.
Hello All, One of our Customer Success managers reported the attached error message when viewing an IC/Relationship record in Gainsight production. I’m not aware of what this error is referring to, seems pretty vague to me, so I was wondering if you can help me figure this out. Is it possible to integrate Periscope with Gainsight? Our organization integrates Periscope with SFDC so that we can join tables between SalesForce and our internal database. It would be nice to have the same access to the Gainsight MDA so that we can also join/aggregate on items that are native to gainsight, such as activity or journey orchestrator/survey information.
Looks like in a recent update, the sort of the schedule time in S3 execution history treats time as a number not as a time. This example shows that it is sorting 1PM before 10AM on the same day. This seems like a problem. Thousands of records failed, yet the job status shows it completed successfully. I'm on the 5.17 release.
We have just launched the Person object - very excited about this and more features coming soon! Is there currently a way to be able to assign multiple relationships to each contact? We also have Relationships live in each C360 and I would like our CSMs to be able to assign different relationships to each contact. For example: Customer ABC has three R360s - Blue, Green and Red John works for ABC but he is only involved in Blue and Green, never Red. Is it possible to add a field in Person section in C360 that would allow to select the two relationships and assign them to John? Our R360s refresh on daily basis so aren't a static list, at the same time we have over 500 relationships so I would like to be able to have a drop-down list for CSM to use, rather than typing the actual names/relationship IDs directly. The main objectives of this are: - ability to see which contacts belong to which relationships - something we don't have yet - direct various datasets
I'm having a lot of trouble getting my internal IT team to agree to enable permissions for GS Connect. Wondering if anyone ran into the same and how they were able to convince their team to enable. Happy to expand more on where the concern is coming from. I've already attempted unsuccessfully to lay out the problems we are running into without it enabled. Hoping someone may have some additional suggestions.
I ́m updating a MDA Object thru Bulk API from a CSV file, but i need to compare the old data and the new, how can i do that? For example: Send my CSV file containing: Client: Dell Available licences: 50 Used licences: 20 Then, a month later i send my CSV file again: Client: Dell Available licenses: 50 Used licenses: 15 It ́s important for us to be aware of this decrease when updating the object, is that possible?
Can ́t "fetch mappings" of a data job which insert data into a MDA Object from a CSV file with semic
When i ́m creating a job i have two options of separator: Comma and semicolon, but i can only fetch the mappings with a CSV file using comma. If i try to use a CSV file with semicolon that ́s what happens: Here ́s my CSV file with semicolon If i replace the semicolons with comma it Works fine That ́s really a bug or i ́m doing something wrong?
I'm looking to upsert records into an MDA object from a CSV via the "Import Data" function. However, you are only able to perform insert operations here. Does anyone have a good workaround to upsert from a CSV into an MDA object? Would I have to upload to our S3 bucket?
My goal is to have an MDA object being upserted, but I can not tell GainSight which field should be updated and which one should be created. As you can see in the image below I sent twice the same file with 3 records and they duplicated. Here is the MDA object Keys So, how can i set these Keys to upsert this MDA object with my CSV file?
Good Morning- This is a related question from another thread I have running (https://community.gainsight.com/gainsight/topics/rules-engine-struggle-issues-writing-to-sfdc), however the information I'm seeking is different enough that it may warrant a different thread. I've traced the issue in the above link to a missing/inactive/broken data ingest. We're not updating our Opportunity Close Date with the close date from the newest/future open opportunity. Before I dive into adding this ingest, is it possible to see when this specific field was last ingested into Gainsight (i.e. when the Opportunity Close Date cell in the MDA for, example, client "Company X" was last updated)? I want to confirm that this field [i]is not currently being updated[i] before adding the ingest. Also, our CCO mentioned that last time the previous a
Has anyone been able to push their Gainsight data into Domo? Our team has an ongoing initiative to push our data into Domo for dashboards/reporting, but Domo does not yet offer a Gainsight connector. I've been told it's possible to do it through a Bionic rule that pushes the data into the S3 connector and then into Domo. If anyone has done this before, your input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help!
I am trying to leverage an Advanced Formula in Data Management and where I have successfully used them before for IF-THEN-ELSE type scenarios, does anyone know if you can do IF-THEN-ELSIF-THEN-ELSE type scenarios? I tried case when (X < Y and X is not null) then 0 else (X > Y and X < Z) then 50 else (X > Z) 100 end That didn't work (neither did removing the brackets) so I'm thinking either my syntax is bad or this is not possible. Any feedback?
