Exporting data out of GainsightAcknowledged
Hello Everyone, I would like to know if you are looking to export data from Gainsight into any BI application (like Power BI, Looker, etc.) or Data warehouse (like Snowflake, Azure Data lake, etc). Please leave your comments below. Your inputs will help us in creating a roadmap for this.
Time tracking integrationsAcknowledged
Does anyone know of or have suggestions for simple project management time tracking solutions that integrate with Gainsight/Salesforce? Ideally we'd have a button associated with each CTA/task that starts and stops a timer then loads the time to a field in that CTA/task. I understand that is a bit of a pipedream, but the closer we can get to it the better. Thanks!
Horizon Analytics feedbackAcknowledged
Not sure the best way to give feedback on Horizon Analytics since I don’t believe it is technically still in Beta… so will start this thread to capture as I am kicking the tires on it. When I try to access Custom Colors in the new UI, I open an existing entry and the data never loads (this was done in an Incognito browser window, so it’s not cache) When drilling down into a report from a dashboard, the “Analyze Report” button should not appear for users that do not have access to Report Builder. When a non-privileged user clicks that button, they get a “403 Access Denied/Forbidden” error. This will result in numerous tickets sent to admin teams saying there is a problem or requesting access. This should be disabled for all users that do not have access to Report Builder. Have the ability to clone success plans.Acknowledged
It would be cool to have the ability to clone a success plan and then manually assign that plan to either the account that you clone the success plan from or to a totally separate account. You could use this if you manually create a success plan and like the layout but your use case isn't valid enough to create a whole rule around it.
Manual CTA for multiple accountsAcknowledged
Apply CTA for multiple accounts Manually. Scenario: if a user has to go through a process of adding a CTA manually and has to replicate this for all the accounts that he/she is responsible for, currently the only way is to get into a Customer360 page for all the accounts and create the CTA or through the Cockpit Tab. It would be easier/convenient (flexibility) if the user is allowed to select multiple accounts from a drop down while creating the CTA.
I’m looking for a way to report on just NPS responses that have comments attached to them. The filter I’d like to be able to use is ‘Comment != NULL’ but Rich Text Area fields are not eligible to be used in filters on Reports or Rules. Is there a workaround to this somehow? I
Export directly from Data ManagementAcknowledged
Currently if we want to export data that is housed in the MDA, we need to either build a custom report and export it, or build a rule that exports to S3. Is there anything on the roadmap that will allow us to just export a table straight out of the MDA (Data Management)? This would be a bit easier since I would not require any extra configuration to retrieve the data.
Inbound Email User ManagementAcknowledged
I am sure I’m not the only one rather annoyed by the fact that Inbound Email users, I.e. those who are able to use the BCC to Timeline function, are a) managed in an entirely separate section rather than right within User Management, and b) cannot be added by a CSV or at least selecting multiple users. It would be amazing if this were just an easy “checkbox” within User Management.
Create a dark/night mode for GainsightAcknowledged
I'm not sure if this is on the roadmap, but I'm finding a lot more applications are coming with out with night mode, or dark mode. I'm wondering if Gainisght has any plans to do so in the future. The white background with grey/blue text is hard to read at times and I have to keep my brightness extremely low to use Gainsight at times.
Ability to decrypt encrypted files loaded to S3Acknowledged
For customers who are required to encrypt their data at rest in S3, they can use PGP encryption and load the files via an S3 ingest rule or via a Rule with encryption enabled. If there are an errors in loading the file, it is difficult to troubleshoot the CSV file for import because it is encrypted. As a work around, admins need to export an encrypted file and non-encrypted file for testing from their source system. This creates a lot of additional work. It would be better if there was an easier way to decrypt a file. To decrypt the file, an admin would need to have the Private Key for decryption or be able to load the encrypted file through the Rules Engine and see the results. This could work ok if the Rules Engine provides all error logs. But if the file is not loading due to an error, its not possible. The best solution would be to get access to the private key somehow.
Posting on Behalf of a customer. Its found that given a timeline post with an attachment. User is not able to later make a report on those attachments via GS Report Builder on "Activity Timeline" MDA Object. Please make that available for use.
Ability to edit all Timeline entriesAcknowledged
Currently, the only user that can edit a Timeline entry is the user that created said entry. It would be good if there was some kind of permission that would allow an admin to edit all Timeline entries, regardless of who created it. Is there anything like this on the roadmap?
Ability to change CTA types and reasonsAcknowledged
I have worked with multiple customers lately who have been restructuring the Type and Reasons of CTAs framework and would like to know if it is possible to change the Type of some specific Reasons that they have today. For instance, one Reason called "MMM" which is in Type = All and would like to have it in the Type = Event As of now this is not possible, is there any thought to have this ability in the future? Possibly in Mass?
Timeline Activities: Changing the AccountAcknowledged
It has come up twice in the past two days where CSMs have accidentally entered timeline activities on the wrong account. Would be nice if they could go to the Global Timeline tab and change the account there once the activity has been created. Currently, I've been just instructing them to recreate using the Copy to Clipboard option, but obviously, it would be easier if they could just move them.
Homescreen dashhboard for VIEW_GROUP usersAcknowledged
I recently gave our Sales and Product teams access to Gainsight CS with VIEW_GROUP permissions. I was a bit surprised to find out that I could not configure a basic homescreen dashboard for them to get an overview of the current state of the full customer base (e.g., Scorecard metrics). I think that would be a great addition for this type of users.
Date filters in Rules EngineAcknowledged
It would be nice to have a date filter with in the rules engine that will enable me to filter like the filters in the report builder. ie current year, last year and this year etc to compliment the ones that are already there. I am trying to set up a CTA but only for data emantaing from a Current Quarter
Ability to merge contacts within one account?Acknowledged
I’m using the NXT version of CS and am looking to merge two contacts listed under one account. Occasionally our clients will update their email addresses, so we’ll have two separate contacts (one current and one that’s outdated) that represent the same person. We don’t want to just delete the old one and lose all of the activities they were part of. Ex. firstname.lastname@example.org changed their email address to email@example.com, want merge the two so that @xyz.com will be associated with all historical activities @abc.com was part of, and then be able to delete @abc.com Is there a way to accomplish this in NXT?
Good Morning- For those Gainsight users that are leveraging Gong.io or Chorus, how are you displaying the data in Gainsight? I know that Chorus creates a Completed SFDC Activity, but I'm not sure how to actually display this information in Gainsight.
