Flag/Star Important Timeline ActivitiesAcknowledged
Hi all, One of the AMs asked if it’s possible in Gainsight to add a “Star” or “Flag” to Important timeline activities (similar to Gmail features) so that those entries/activities can be referenced later while scrolling through timeline. Thanks,Jasmine
When syncing Salesforce activity to Timeline, records that do not have a value in Description/Comments will fail because It is mapping to Notes in the Timeline Activity which is a required field. It fails because Notes has to have a value in order to save. If there was a way to provide a default value for Notes when the incoming record from SFDC has a null value for Description, that would make it easier to sync data without having to find records in the logs that failed and update. Having the option to set default in the job setup would allow for a default Notes value specific to the type of Salesforce activity being synced.
Seems across the product if we make a picklist value inactive it will still show in the dropdown but grayed out. This request is to have it not show at all. The below is in NXT when adding a field to the CTA object that references a drop down list. When I add that field to the CTA view, the inactive values still show.
There was a recent update to allow admins to configure custom views for cockpit for End Users. When will this awesome feature be available for timeline? Would be great to set these up ahead of time to reduce burden for CSMs who wont know how data is organized in Gainsight to select fields, Thanks!

Home "My Portfolio" by layoutAcknowledged
We can now create different Home configurations for different user roles. I was creating one for the CSM Managers, and they would like to have CSM in My Portfolio which makes sense for them, but is not needed for the CSM view. I noticed that My Portfolio is the same on all configurations. It would be helpful to be able to change My Portfolio by layout as which fields are important to show varies by role. Also, that would allow us to make some editable for some roles, but not for others.
Ability to Link Timeline ActivitiesAcknowledged
Users can create Timeline Activities through an Objective CTA, but if they create an activity in a C360 page or on the global Timeline tab, they aren't able to link them to an objective. It would be nice to be able to link a timeline entry to an Objective if the entry was created outside of the Objective CTA. Currently users have to re-create the entry if they want to move the entry from the C360/global Timeline tab and associate it with an Objective CTA.
Editing an existing CTA to be recurringAcknowledged
Hi, is there currently the option to edit a CTA so that it is recurring, or edit an existing task to be recurring? To clarify, this is for CTAs configured at the Relationship level. We'd want to edit the CTA and/or Task so that it recurs on a weekly basis.
It’s great that the new dashboards allow the widgets to be maximised to take over the screen, but please can this be extended to the pop-out reports when clicking on a widget, as the resulting table can often be too small to be useful (on a laptop screen particularly). Also being able to freeze the first column on these too.
If you’re on the analyze tab of renewal center, and you click on a widget report to drill down, you’re taken to a detailed view on the right hand side of the screen with some columns and the rest of the screen is greyed out. What I don’t understand is why this is maybe 1/3 at most of the usable screen area. If I add one or two extra columns from the default, I have to scroll left and right, and some of the columns are super narrow. Seeing the background doesn’t do me any good, because if the widget you clicked on is on the right side of the screen that gets totally covered anyways.I would like this to either just take up more of the screen, allow me as an admin to set a default width, or at the very least allow you to drag the drill down and make it wider if needed. I didn’t include a full screen shot as I didn’t want to take time to hide all the data, but LOOK AT ALL THAT UNUSED SPACE! Is this a drill down for ants? For real though, help me make this make sense. I know you can scroll
Queries as Exclusion ListAcknowledged
If Journey Orchestrator is moving towards allowing for Bionic Queries to be created outside of a Program, I'd like to request that BQ can also be used as an exclusion list. Every program I run, I have to include a dataset task that looks for anyone that already entered that program in the last 180 days, then merge it, then transformation task the results. Every. Program. It's really not intuitive to build exclusion criteria into a query. It's an extra step that would be much easier to solve for if I had a separate query 'Entered Progam in X days', and then select that list under exclusions (which is how any other email tool works).
Could we remove relationship references from UI?Acknowledged
Hi, One of our customers wants to deactivate relationship feature from their gainsight. Also they want to remove all references of relationship from the UI. Question. Is it possible to report on the "Drafts" in Timeline by User? [Email to Timeline]Acknowledged
Hi everyone! I'm currently loving email to timeline, as it's helping us ensure that we're getting communication into the system! But we're running into users that aren't exactly staying up to date on reviewing their 'Drafts' in Global Timeline. So, I was wondering how are others managing the ensuring that their users are reviewing their 'drafts' sections? Ideally, I would like a report that the managers can review to speak with their teams - but I'm not finding where that would be stored... As always, THANK YOU! :)
Improve Data Designer to Allow URL back to CTAsAcknowledged
It appears that data designer somehow strips away the URL feature to some fields like Call to Action Name, Success Plan Name if those objects are included in the data design. For example, I created a data design and brought in the Call to Action and User Object. Merged both objects with the fields I wanted, one of which was the Call to Action Name. I created a report and applied it to a dashboard. The report shows the Call to Action name, but it’s just a string text and the URL has been stripped. As an end user, I cannot click on the Call to Action name to take me to that CTA. I would now have to copy and paste the Call to Action name and search it via cockpit. WOOF :( It really kills adopting new reports designed via data designer bc the lack of functionality overshadows the innovative data gathering via data designer
We have a program that sends usage emails to customers on a monthly basis. I would love to have 1 email be logged to timeline for the monthly utilization for each customer. And I said only one email, as we don’t need to have each and every email that was sent out (for each stakeholder) rather have a way to trace back the usage data sent out to customers for historical purposes. Also, it would be ideal to have the option to send the usage email for a company in 1 email - for all stakeholders - rather than having individual emails sent to each of them. allow bulk updates to Gainsight timelineAcknowledged
we have a few use cases where having the ability to write to Gainsight timeline in bulk would be highly useful Examples: If a CSM leaves PatientPop without notice, we would like to bulk upload an account transition note into timeline for all of their accounts at once rather than one by one. If a CSM gives their notice, we'd like to bulk upload their account transition notes into timeline using a spreadsheet rather then have them tediously click through each account individually. When we receive a survey response from a customer to our various CSAT, NPS and product surveys, we'd like to automatically record the score/verbatim feedback into timeline.
I have a requirement where in I need to show the percentages of emails clicks and open rate of emails delivered through a program (AO Analytics object) and this is useful when representing them in Dashboard as the percentages speaks more than numbers. Even though we show them under Program analytics tab, but needs to report using report builder. Could you please advise.
Make Timeline + Calendar widget expandableAcknowledged
I also find it annoying that the Timeline + Calendar widget is not expandable.We’re limited to this very slim and narrow window which is not a great experience when reviewing a whole host of timeline activities.Would simply like to make it wider!
