Sort Timeline activities by the 'log/created date'

Related products: CS Timeline

One of my customer (Phil Kowalski) from the company (Wordstream Inc.) is looking to sort Timeline activity as per the log date or created date.

Currently, the 'Timeline' tab is used to sort only by using 'Activity Date' and there is no other way to toggle the sort from "Activity date" to "Log/created date"in timeline. As an alternative, we can get the data of logged date via report builder tool.

This feature will add an additional option to sort the timeline acitivity as per the 'logged date' or 'created date' as well.

Hi Hardik,

Can you share details on the use case behind this request?

Hi Dan,

I just confirmed with customer and currently, they are happy with our way sorting timeline activities via "Activity Date". Do let me know if you still would like to gather any information for sorting timeline activity via "Logged Date".

Best,

Hardik

We would like the ability to sort timeine entries by 'last updated' date. Due to the inability to have 'child' timeline entries, some of our CSMs have a timeline entry that they continually edit and add updates (so they can see the whole history in a single timeline entry without having to open multiple timeline entries). Due to the entry being created a while back they have to scroll to find it. If they were able to sort by last updated it would be easy to find and update.

Hi Mary,

It sounds like you're looking for the ability to "pin" a single Timeline entry to the top of the timeline, is that right? We don't currently have that capability, but one thought that many Gainsight customers overlook is the Comments section of the C360>Summary.

This section is pinned right at the top of the C360 and can contain up to 4,000 characters of content - should be more than enough for keeping an up to date account summary. Do your CSMs use this feature today?

Hi Dan, in our company we work at the relationship level so we don't utilize the C360 level.

Hi Mary, the R360 also has the same comments section as part of the summary. Both C360 and R360 are identical that way.

Hi Product team,

Has this been reviewed as a potential enhancement?

Our use case would be for:

  1. If a CSM has to changed and needs to review the history on an account
  2. An executive what's to review full history of customer.
