Simplify Filter on a report for non-admin users

We would like for our org to be able to use filter on their own reports within dashboard. However when creating job aids, we have a hard time helping people understand the drop down of options  when looking at filters. There is a hide function but that function will hide something from all users not just CSMs. 

Is there way we can designate who to hide filter fields from so that when editing dashboard reports they see what is relevant for them and not the full list an admin would need?
