Remove HTML Formatting on Rich Text Fields in Real Time Rules

Really just looking for the same functionality as what’s in Rule Engine today “Remove HTML Tags” -

@gunjanm thank you for sharing your request here. We are in process of redesigning the rules, this feedback helps.

Hi @gunjanm

Thanks for bringing this up. While we try to evaluate and deliver this, would you be able to share what you are trying to accomplish here with Real-Time Rules?

@rakesh basically to load some long text fields to key note fields in SFDC for wider visibility. Goals, churn risk highlights, etc.

In this flow, removing the tags → Is there any worry that we are losing some formatting, etc.? Is it totally alright to push a plain text version @gunjanm ?

@rakesh it's not totally alright, which is why having that checkbox option would be good. It depends on the target. Where I ran into this need was for a Slack update pushed via an External Action, and that doesn't carry over the formatting properly. But if I'm pushing to a field in Salesforce that is rich text, then it's fine. But usually fields are created as long text in Salesforce, not rich text.

Hello,

Is it possible to find out when this fix is planned? We have had to roll back our use of Real Time Rules due to the HTML tags making text hard to read after the rule pushes data back to Salesforce fields.

Thank you

Any updates here? With our recent adoption of RTR this is becoming more of an issue.
