When logging activities via Timeline, it is critical to be able to include Attached files
CS Timeline
Logged Activities via Timeline sync to Salesforce and are exposed to other customer facing staff. However, attached documents are ignored and not synced. It is critical for good documentation and communication to be able to include spreadsheets, word docs, PPT files and the like that could contain important data to the management of the account.

One of the frequent comments we receive related to Timeline is that admins are glad that documents attached to Timeline entries don't consume SFDC storage capacity as they are often running low on that. Is SFDC storage capacity something that's not that much of a concern for you? Another alternative I've seen done is to include a link to documents that are stored on a cloud storage location (like Box or Google Drive, etc).
