Auto-magically convert Connector Ingest Jobs to S3 Ingest RULESResponse from Customer

[u]User Story[/u] Once upon a time, an admin managed a large number of ingestion jobs via S3 Connector and needed to modify the parameters, (S3 folder paths specifically in this tale). When our friend The Admin reviewed the S3 Ingestion RULE setup, The Admin noticed there there was much PARITY betwixt the configuration of the two!! He sat and pondered...could a potential script be magically construed in order to alleviate the burden of this Admin and perhaps MANY others across the land? Hoping this story could end with "And there was much rejoicing!!!" Any other "The Admin's" out there with a similar challenge or pending maintenance item to update these to Rules?

Make it possible to see when rules were run historicallyResponse from Customer

I've searched far and wide, and right now it appears that there is no visibility to see when we run rules historically (unless I'm missing some mysterious part of the Rules Engine).  It would be nice to be able to go into the Execution History section of a rule and not only see when the rule was run (which is available right now of course), but also what date it was run from.  My use case is that I'm running a weekly rule chain historically for the past 8 weeks, so I've run the rule chain eight times, with the run date being each Saturday going back to mid-January. However, the Execution history only shows today's date. I have no visibility into the actual run date. Thanks.

Tagging for Relationships R360.Response from Customer

We would like to see the ability to tag customers at the relationship level on the R360. It would be nice if we could have the same functionality of tagging on the R360 as we do at the customer level (C360).

Currently, the difference in behavior of concat function in Rules and in Gainsight data management(GDM) is how we handle empty strings. While in GDM we truncate empty strings, but rules does not. Request to make the behavior consistent in both areas.

Option to notify if 0 results success for Rules EngineResponse from Customer

I think it would be cool if there was a 3rd option for notifications in Rules.  Right now, we provide "On Success" and "On Failure" emails, but what if we did a "On Zero (0) results" option. My thinking here is, perhaps you consider 0 results a failure.  But we treat 0 results as a success.  However, most people don't want to get, and don't have the time to parse through, one email for every rule they have for the success emails.  Even if they focused solely on the rules that they wanted a success email for capturing 0 results, its still not really a "success". Also, the look/messaging of the email could be changed to reflect its a run with zero results, therefore bringing attention to a rule that really ran unsuccessfully, potentially because of a failure further up the data chain.  This would make sure that we are managing from a true workflow/business process flow standpoint, rather than just individual rules/rule chains.

Currently we don't have the option of getting email rule result notifications for S3 event trigerred rules. Would it be possible to get this to fire as well? It would help to notify the Admin/ User when the rule has a failure.

NPS 2.0 ReportingResponse from Customer

It would be nice if the new NPS Survey Response object contained the free response NPS comments in a more consumable form. To clarify, I'm not talking aboutthe default NPS comment question, I mean responses from the unique survey questions we create. As opposed to using the default "comment" section directly under the NPS score rating, we prefer to use survey logic to direct the customer to a more tailored question concerning their score reasoning. Having to pull those free responses from a flattened, survey-specific object is not very scalable for future reporting and requires a lot of re-creation of reports for ongoing dashboards.

Rules Engine: Include a free text comments field within Tasks and ActionsResponse from Customer

When creating complicated rules, it's not uncommon to go back to it months later and ask "why did I create that logic?" Or if someone has to come behind me and trying to understand what I did. It would really help to have a comments section in each task/action to capture more detail than can be added in the Description.   Kind of like how programmers add comments to their code. Report on scorecard measure weight in scorecard 2.0.Response from Customer

Posting on behalf of customer. Currently there is no way to report off the measure weight of a measure in scorecard 2.0 but you can in 1.0 in SFDC. It would nice to have that functionality in the future for 2.0.

Enhancement Request: Customization of Permissions and VisibilityResponse from Customer

I wasn't able to find a suggestion relevant to what I’m about to describe. If there is one, please let me know. Right now, when you want to add custom fields to a CTA or a task it's a "everyone sees it or no one sees it". We have other departments besides Customer Success at our organization who are using Gainsight. We want to be able to show things just relevant to them. for example: we have a section on Tasks where users can fill in more information about the task. those fields only apply to our customer success team. Our Delivery team will also be using success Plans so they'll see this section which isn't relevant to them plus we need to add a new section for information for them to feel out that is not relevant to customer Success. the same holds true when you customize the Customer tab on a Call to Action. that section is applied to all CTAs of that type. You don't have an option to apply a certain set of fields to a specific C

Posting on behalf of customer. Currenlty on the cockpit you can only create a fitler based on information from the Account, Customer Info, Call to Action, or Relationship objects. The Contacts associated to a CTA are stored on the AssociatedRecord object and it might be nice to filter CTA's based on that information. Idea. In the Rules Engine, S3 Dataset - Add M/D/YYYY H:MM as an DateTime Format Option.Response from Customer

To give some quick background - I'm migrating from using the Connector, to using the S3 in the Rules Engine. And in one of the reports that automated to me from our Service Desk has a DateTime field. After a few trial and errors a lot of Partially Failed reports - I found that because some of my time entries don't have a leading zero, M/D/YYYY HH:MM isn't working. I'm in need of a M/D/YYYY H:MM option. Anyone else running into this?

Allow suppression of the "Action" column on C360 related listsResponse from Customer

I thought this had been posted previously, but I cannot find it. Admins should be able to suppress the Action column on a report by report basis on the C360. Use Cases: 1. Opportunities - We have related lists built off the Opportunity object. CSMs don't have permission to edit Opportunities, so when they click on that pencil icon they get a permissions error. Which results in service tickets for people who think it's a mistake. 2. We use Salesforce Related Contacts functionality. We need the ability to use different color coding schemes for different metrics/scores.  For example, we use a 5 color graduated color scheme for most scorecard scores but require a different 3 color scheme for an external NPS score to match what is used internally.  Currently only a single color scheme is used globally.

inconsistency with the "padlock" icon for unavailable fields in C360 Attributes sectionResponse from Customer

I had a customer bring to my attention that in the C360 attributes section the "padlock" is causing some confusion for users to know what they can and cannot edit. In the image below from my demo org I am able to replicate. All the fields below except for 3 or 4 I left unchecked for "editable" and they are just showing greyed out rather than with the padlock. Can we make it to where the padlock is always there for uneditable fields? Rules Engine: Allow rules in a Rule Chain to run historicallyResponse from Customer

It is kinda painful to have to remove rules from a rule chain if you need to run them historically (to repopulate or clean up erroneous data).  We need the ability to run rule chain rules historically without removing them from the Rule Chain, editing the schedule, waiting for them to all complete, then adding back to a Rule Chain.

Upsert/Update Operation in S3/Rules EngineResponse from Customer

Currently we have below limitations in update/upsert operation 1) In S3, we can select only 5 keys as identifiers 2) In Rules, we can select only 3 fields as key identifiers per data type. To overcome these limitations, we can have MD5 option to generate unique 32 bit character string. MD5 takes fields(should be concatenated as a string) as input and it gives unique 32 bit string. This field can be used in update/upsert operations. There is no limitation of number of fields to be used in MD5. We can select any field with any data type in MD5. Moreover, performance will be good if we use one key while updating table instead of having condition on more than one key.

Use Linked Object ID in Rule Action as IdentifierResponse from Customer

I really like the new feature in Rules Engine action to auto link a record to the CTA. One enhancement I see is the ability to use the record ID as a possible identifier when running the rule, just like we have CTA name. This would add flexibility in situations where you may not want to tokenize the ID or name in the CTA name to make it unique. The linked record ID could add a 'behind the scenes' unique key. Today, it looks like the action ignored this field when the CTAs are upserted upon rule runs, similar to the playbook.

Idea: Allow for custom mapping of Lookup IDs from 360 Layouts > Section/Embed PageResponse from Customer

Perhaps this is possible and I'm just trying the wrong method, but... Our Salesforce instance uses Parent/Child accounts pretty heavily, and we've been running into occasions where multiple opportunities will be concurrently open for different children of the same parent account. And today, our CSMs and AEs have no easy way to see concurrently open opps across an account heirarchy. I thought I had a crafty solution, but ran into a limitation in setting up C360 views. My idea: I added an "Ultimate Parent" account lookup to our Account object in Salesforce– this way If I created a report on Opportunites and traversed up a level to the Account object, I could include a common account lookup across any given company's account heirarchy. What I thought I'd be able to do is create a report and map the object (alothough in this case I created a data space) in 360 Layouts to say show report rows where "Ultimate Parent ID on Account = Ultimate Parent ID i
