Email Reminders in GainsightPlanned
I have a customer that would like the ability to set up reminders to be triggered in Gainsight (CTAs perhaps) from emails that are sent from their email provider. Use Case: Many CSMs track their To Do items in Gainsight tasks, and utilize Cockpit as a place to monitor the activities they need to execute that day. In our role, we also must stay on top of email communications, which includes following up on emails that go unanswered. It would be great if there was an option within the upcoming email integration feature that would allow users to mark in the email if they would like a reminder to be sent to Gainsight after XXX days (user could perhaps choose?). Thinking of this sort of like the Reminders you can set for yourself in Yesware on certain emails. This would allow users to continue to have one source of truth for their To Do items in Cockpit without having to manually create a task for following up.
I’d like the ability to export the data returned in queries created in Data Designer. Currently you must create a dataspace from the design, create a report in report builder to then export. Use case: I’m typically validating data when first creating a new data space and would like to export and review the data in excel.
You can currently add some Renewal Center reports and features to Gainsight Home which is nice. However, when you drill down to the list of opportunities from whatever RC thing you clicked on, if you try and click on one of those individual opportunities to ‘work on it’ nothing happens. This is NOT the experience elsewhere in the product. Not having it work in GS home seems largely antithetical to its purpose.
In Salesforce you just separate values with a comma when using Includes, but it doesn't seem possible in Gainsight. Instead, I have to have a separate filter for each value I'd like to include which complicates the advanced logic string when I should be able to just include them in a single filter. For example, I want to deliver an email variant based on country. If it's not a picklist, I have to write: (A) Country = USA (B) Country = UK (C) Country = AUS (D) Country = NZ A OR B OR C OR D Instead, I should be able to write (A) Country includes USA,UK,AUS,NZ In this example, it's quadruple the work for each template that has this filter; add on any additional filtering and it becomes cumbersome pretty quick. Is there any way to include multiple values when the field is not a picklist? I've tried contains, comma, comma and a space, semicolon, semicolon and a space, and Gainsight converts it to = after saving (ie, Country = ('USA,UK,AUS,NZ') ),
We would like the ability to filter by fiscal date within the Rules Engine Setup Rule. We have some rules that power MDA and reporting that report only on current FQ. Each new quarter, we have to manually adjust the dates to the current quarter, so this will become unscalable once our number of rules grow. With Personalize My Home a user is only able to remove reports that are added and are unable to add any reports. I understand this as not all reports should be available to a user since some have information that they should not be able to access. Would it be possible to have a setting where you give access to certain folders or reports to give the user options of reports to add, rather than the admin adding all them and the user removing.
Can we enable the ability to add free-text notes is available on the dashboards much like the notes in C360 Summary section? When adding and configuring the various reports in dashboard, we have observed that we needed this notes to add context, outliers about certain reports/widgets.
Is Horizon Analytics going to support date fields and min/max aggregations in the widget view of report builder? Use case:I want to add a widget onto my C360 of the last QBR date for the customer. This would be a widget based off of a report (Timeline/Data Designer) that has "QBR Date" aggregated by MAX to get the most recent one. I would prefer this to my alternate plan of adding a "last qbr" field to the company object, populating it via rule, and adding that field on the summary. Is this sort of functionality planned? Is it possible already and I’m just not aware? Should this be a product request? @rakesh
Storing Images in JO EmailsPlanned
Would be great if there was some sort of image repository where you could save the images that you use frequently in JO Programs. For example, company logos or email footers, etc. I can get around this now by just saving the images I need in templates and then cloning to use in a new template, but it would be great to not have to do that and just have the images ready to chose when creating a template.
When selecting to clone a rule, I’d like to be able to change the source data. For example, we have a rule that fires a CTA based on NPS response with a couple of other factors, so the rule is pretty complex. I want to be able to clone it from quarter to quarter and change the source to the new NPS survey data. Instead, I have to open one window with the old rule and one window with the new rule and then, manually recreate it with the new data set.
One thing I really like about Horizon Analytics is that we can now compare string fields (this post probably needs to be updated FYI) to one another. This functionality came in handy for me when comparing two different CSM lookup fields in my org. However, I’d like to see this functionality expanded. I have a use case where I’d like to compare two different currency fields. If a customer’s Currency A field is greater than Currency B, that’s a potential red flag. It would be awesome if we could easily report on that. Same thing with date fields. The weird thing is HA appears to allow you to choose non-string fields when comparing fields in the filter, but if you click apply, it simply doesn’t work unless you’re comparing two string fields.
Licences count in NXT/SFDCPlanned
Hi Team, One of my customer wanted to have licenses view in Gainsight UI that should show Number of Licenses left over for us. In today’s world, users will have to reach out to SF Admins to get this Number. Currently, July’2020 release gives us the names of the users and how many licenses have been consumed. Best, Hardik
Hi all, when doing a Survey in Gainsight looks like I can’t change the color of these 2 sentences: 1. All questions marked with * are required. 2. 4000 Characters remaining. It seems no matter which colors I choose in the designer for the rest of the text these can't be changed. (Attached the examples) Support confirmed it is by design and asked me to post it here…
The default value for a matrix object only applies when you try to actually load that value. If you just create a record from a file that doesn't contain a mapped value, it's just NULL. So, idea 1 is that the default value should, in fact, be the value that is populated by default, regardless of whether my file has that column mapped.
The Rules engine should be updated or modified to support writing data to Salesforce's Multi-select picklists. Gainsight's own native field, the Tag field on Customer Info, cannot be written to correctly with the Rules Engine, because the engine overwrites existing values instead of appending new values.
One of our Customer Cybercube is using the Hubspot CRM ,As we do have any sync between Hubspot Meetings/Notes and Gainsight Timeline ,they are not able to leverage Timeline - as Notes added by the CS Team would not be visible to the other Teams, and to see the Notes by other Teams the CSM have to log in to Hubspot. Is Hubspot Meetings /Notes Timeline integration in our Product Map? Are we hearing this from other Customers as well ?
I have a customer in Europe who is trying to use DD-MM-YYYY as their date format. We only support MM-DD-YYYY format in the MDA right now, but with more and more European customers coming on board, it would be nice to support DD-MM-YYYY. Any plans on that? Also, any suggested approaches for getting around this?
Hi Team, The incorrect number of records is displayed for any report against an SFDC object that contains at least one group by (if there are more records retrieved than the “Show Limit” for the UI page). For example, there are 412 records, and I have selected to show 100 records per page, then “100" will be displayed for 4 pages, and 12 displayed for the last page. One suggestion is to remove the "Total Number of Records:" and "Click Here" for SFDC API queries that cannot return the correct number of records.https://share.getcloudapp.com/JrunDADE
Hello Team, Edit this report in report builder option is not available in Gainsight Home Page. Adding this option will make more sense. Now we will have to directly go in to the Report builder if there is a change need to be made. I believe it is a good thing to implement it in Gainsight home page, when the same is already available for dashboards.
Gainsight gave the ability for admins to create reporting surrounding user licenses. However, during the switch to the license UI update, a lot of users are marked “full license” but the permission is set to “viewer.” This requires a lot of manual auditing because we are unable to see the actual permission type at the reporting level. Thanks!
Hello! Within our organisation, we share numerous types of files with a variety of filesizes. For example screencaptures that we receive when our clients run into eg. bugs or need clarification on certain features of our SaaS product. Having the limits of 15 / 30 Mb in place for individual / all attachments seems somewhat outdated - even though I read before that it was at Data storage limitation these days is considered a nuisance by the team, so from my perspective, this is a welcome improvement.
